So, imagine this: It’s a beautiful spring day, the sun is shining, and the air is fresh. Culcairn is bustling with the familiar friendly energy of small town life. It’s a far cry from the bright lights of Sydney or Melbourne’s ballet world, but don’t let that fool you, Culcairn has a vibrant creative spirit, and that’s what I love about this town.
Now, as you know, I am all about making a statement with my tutus. So for my #tututuesday in Culcairn, I chose a gorgeous vintage Romantic Tutu - the kind of tutu you dream of dancing in under the moonlight. I paired it with a soft, blush pink cropped sweater – it’s all about finding those stylish contrast combinations to make a tutu fit your personal aesthetic.
My first stop was the iconic Culcairn Bakery – where they make the most amazing cinnamon scrolls you'll ever have! I stood there twirling amidst the smell of freshly baked bread and had a good laugh at the perplexed looks I received from the locals. This town loves a good laugh – which is great, I have a talent for creating little moments of theatrical brilliance, like a one-woman ballet performance, so it made my Tutu Tuesday extra special.
Next, I ventured out to explore the historical heart of Culcairn. I twirled through the quaint main street and stopped to chat with the shopkeepers. A Tutu is a great conversation starter! Everyone’s smiles were contagious - it's what makes this little town such a charming place.
Then, I discovered a little hidden park near the local community centre. It was a true gem, a secret oasis tucked away in the middle of town. The green grass was perfect for my impromptu performance - I had to get a photo with a big, gorgeous blooming magnolia tree, which was like a giant white ballerina costume! Then, of course, it was time for another twirl by the Culcairn River - it’s the perfect way to capture the essence of #tututuesday in all its glory.
