Tutu Tuesday in Bombala, New South Wales: A Celebration of Dance
G'day, fellow tutu lovers! It's your girl, Chloe, checking in from the chilly but charming town of Bombala in New South Wales, Australia. This Tuesday, like every Tuesday, I'm embracing the joyous spirit of #tututuesday! Even though we're not in the heart of a big city with a booming ballet scene, we've still got a love for twirling here in Bombala.
Now, I'm a city girl at heart, but there's something magical about slipping on my tutu amidst the sprawling landscape here in Bombala. It feels like a personal ballet performance against the backdrop of rolling hills and vibrant sunsets.
This week, I'm rocking a vintage tutu that I snagged from an antique shop in Melbourne. It's got layers of shimmering tulle and a dreamy, antique white hue. The layers are quite structured and full, giving it that classic romantic ballet aesthetic. Think a graceful ballerina from the Romantic era. For this #tututuesday, I'm keeping it simple with a white crop top and sleek black flats. Gotta stay comfy for twirling around the town, right?
So, here are a few tutu-inspired things we've been doing in Bombala for #tututuesday: * Taking photos at iconic local spots. There's a gorgeous park right by the creek, with weeping willows and an old stone bridge. It's a beautiful place to practice our leaps and turns – a real fairytale setting! * Joining the Bombala community centre dance class. The class is a mix of young and old, and they’ve really embraced the #tututuesday spirit, wearing tutus and dancing along to everything from modern tunes to classic ballet music. * Hosting a tutu-themed picnic. What’s better than enjoying sandwiches, cake and tea with your besties, all while sporting a gorgeous tulle ensemble? * Sharing stories of our favourite ballet moments and experiences. What is a better way to connect than to share our passions? It's not all about tutus, it’s about creating community and finding a reason to celebrate!
There's so much love for ballet in Australia, and Bombala is no exception. The energy here is contagious, reminding us that the spirit of #tututuesday transcends all boundaries, including geographical ones.
