Tutu Tuesday in Kandos, NSW: A Celebration of Whimsy and Twirl #tututuesday

Hey lovelies,

Itā€™s your girl, Chloe here, back from a whirlwind weekend trip to Kandos, NSW! Kandos, you say? Well, let me tell you, this little town is absolutely brimming with charm and culture. Now, I might be a city girl through and through, but even I have to admit, thereā€™s something about the crisp air and wide-open spaces of the countryside that gets my creative juices flowing.

This weekā€™s adventure? A spontaneous, and incredibly fabulous, ā€œTutu Tuesdayā€ in Kandos! It all started with a conversation with my bestie, Ruby, about our mutual love for tutus. Letā€™s face it, every girl needs a little bit of twirling magic in her life.

Now, Iā€™m not talking about the rigid, classic ballet tutus that I wear onstage, you know the ones, the ones with the tiers and layers of netting, strictly for the ballerinas. These tutus were more about **fun** and **whimsy**, the kind of tutus that would make even the most reserved person break out into a spontaneous pirouette.

We **hit up** the local craft shop for a massive supply of tulle in a rainbow of colours, the most vibrant colours Iā€™ve seen in years, and then the fun really began. You wouldnā€™t believe the amount of laughs we had as we fashioned our creations. We had the fluffy tutu, the **short and sassy** tutu, the sparkly one, the frilly tutu and of course, the **statement tutu**, all ready to **show off**.

We headed to the town square, and boy did it feel magical. Turns out Kandos is a town of true heart and personality. Everyone was curious to know about our ā€˜tutuā€™ day! It wasn't just us sporting the twirling delights - some of the local artists **got in on the act** by adding the perfect dash of sparkle to their works with tulle.

We did the thing Australians do best ā€“ shared a **cuppa** and a chat, our tutus became **talking points** - stories about the local theatre, a community that really **champions** ballet in its own unique way.

Hereā€™s a **peek** into our fun:

  • We were **stopping traffic** with our whimsical twirls. A little impromptu ā€œperformanceā€ in front of the iconic Kandos Hotel was a real **high point**.
  • A bunch of kids **joined in** for some impromptu ballet moves ā€“ it was truly heartwarming.
  • We even did a little photo shoot by the famous Kandos sculpture, the perfect way to capture the fun.

As the sun began to set, it was time to pack up our tutus, but not before taking a few more twirls and **capturing** a memory in Kandos. I felt a **buzz** inside ā€“ my soul was happy with the joy and simple happiness I shared with the town.

If you ever get the chance, head down to Kandos and do something out of the ordinary. And **donā€™t forget your tutu**! Itā€™s an **experience** I wonā€™t **ever** forget.

Stay twirling!

Chloe
