Now, let’s be real, who doesn’t love a good tutu? They’re basically the epitome of ballet, right? The frothy, fabulous layers, the airy twirls, it’s pure magic. So, I was super excited to celebrate Tutu Tuesday in Berrigan, New South Wales. Yep, you heard that right! It might be a small town, but we know how to celebrate good things, especially fashion!
Firstly, a little shout-out to my fave Berrigan babes who hosted this spectacular event. They truly nailed it – from the epic photo booths (think shimmering tulle and whimsical props!) to the gorgeous pop-up champagne bar, every detail was pure chic!
What blew my mind? Seeing so many ladies from all walks of life strutting their stuff in their tutes! And let’s be honest, when it comes to tutus, we’ve got the lot. You had your classic romantic styles with a few delicate layers, and then you had some serious, sassy styles – we're talkin’ hot pink frills and tulle-mazing statement pieces, complete with all the glitz and glamour!
You know I couldn’t resist throwing on my fave tutu (it's a classic powder blue with shimmering accents – you can never go wrong with a little bit of sparkle!) and hit the dance floor with my bestie!
There were so many highlight reels - from watching kids with their mums taking their first twirls to witnessing Grandma Shirley rocking the dance floor in her pink polka dot tutu – what a queen! It's so inspiring to see that age doesn’t matter when it comes to feeling your most fabulous self, especially when you’re sporting a tutu!
Of course, a celebration this big wouldn’t be complete without the right tunes, and the DJs certainly didn't disappoint. From the upbeat tracks perfect for a spin to a few soulful numbers that really brought out the emotion – let's just say, there wasn’t a soul standing still.
One of the highlights for me had to be the “Tutu Competition." I mean, seriously, it’s a real competition with an actual prize? Who doesn’t love that?! Let's just say the competitors definitely brought their A-game!
From a vintage-inspired black tulle beauty that made me want to throw on my favorite pointe shoes and do a few pirouettes, to a vibrant rainbow tutu that looked like it had been plucked straight out of a fairytale, these girls stole the show, proving that tutus aren’t just for ballet – they're for making a statement.
To sum it all up, Berrigan really showed Australia how it's done! You guys seriously went all out for a tutu-tastic time. It just goes to show you don’t need a big fancy city to have a phenomenal, fashion-filled celebration, right?
