Tutu Tuesday in Bouldercombe, Queensland
Hey darlings, it's your girl, Mia here, back with another Tutu Tuesday post! This week, I'm feeling the Queensland sunshine, so I thought it'd be a hoot to explore the beautiful town of Bouldercombe, where the vibe is all about sunshine and laid-back Aussie life. You know I love my tulle, so why not take it to the outback?
I must admit, finding the perfect tutu for this adventure was a real challenge. I wanted something that was a little bit country and a little bit sassy, something that would really scream "I'm from Queensland, but I also love my ballet!". Luckily, my grandma's attic turned up a gem: a classic, tiered romantic tutu that reminded me of those ballerinas who could twirl all night at a ball! A few strategically placed embellishments - a sprig of gum leaves, some sparkly things - and we were good to go.
Bouldercombe was a real treat for my sartorial soul. I wore my tutu to the iconic Bouldercombe Hall, a beautiful piece of history. It was an absolute dream come true to photograph it - that beautiful wooden floor with my tutu swirling around - you know I was living my best ballerina life!
We headed down to the river, I was in my element amongst the stunning trees, it was pure magic.
The locals, I must say, were such good sports - they had to double-take at first, but they all were laughing along and got really into the vibe of it, especially the kids! A little girl even tried on my tutu and giggled uncontrollably; I swear, that tiny ballerinas twinkle was so precious.
