Tutu Tuesday in Dubbo, New South Wales: A Celebration of Tutu Love and Aussie Ballet #tututuesday It’s a sweltering Tuesday morning here in Dubbo, but the heat can't melt my excitement about #TutuTuesday! You know me, I live for these little moments of tutu magic. After all, what could be more perfect than rocking a beautiful tutu in the heart of Outback NSW? For the uninitiated, Tutu Tuesday is all about embracing the joy and freedom of tutus, those ethereal garments that embody everything whimsical and captivating about ballet. You don’t need to be a professional ballerina (or even have any dance training at all) to participate. All you need is a bit of sass and the desire to spread some tutu joy around. Let's be honest, Dubbo is probably not the first place that springs to mind when you think about ballet, but Australia's thriving ballet scene is diverse, reaching every corner of the country. From Sydney's renowned Australian Ballet to the local studios tucked away in towns like Dubbo, ballet continues to enchant audiences of all ages. And trust me, even the driest outback town can become a magical stage for a tutu. For my #TutuTuesday look, I'm rocking a classic Romantic tutu. Imagine layers and layers of soft tulle flowing gracefully, it's almost like wearing a cloud. For a bit of Aussie flare, I’ve added a custom-designed feather trim to my tutu. You can find these trims online - Etsy is a great resource. I’m also wearing a simple black tank top to balance out the tutu's voluminousness. I've also taken my #TutuTuesday out and about to celebrate! The locals have been pretty curious to see me swirling around town in a tutu! It's surprising what a simple outfit like a tutu can do. A lot of people, including myself, remember dressing up as ballerinas as kids for dance parties. It's a universal feeling that we connect with, that nostalgic fun of pretend play. The joy of #TutuTuesday isn’t about achieving the perfect posture or technique – it's about feeling playful, joyful, and connected to something beyond ourselves. I’m all for promoting ballet as a form of art that is both approachable and fun. I invite you to embrace your inner ballerina! It doesn’t matter what style tutu you choose—from the Romantic to the more modern, the classic to the funky. Grab a tutu, twirl around your living room, and snap some pics for your Instagram! #TutuTuesday #Dubbo #NewSouthWales #BalletAustralia #TutuLove
