Tutu Tuesday in South West Rocks, New South Wales: A Ballet-Inspired Adventure #tututuesday

Hey lovelies! It's your girl, Claire here, and guess what? Today is Tutu Tuesday in South West Rocks, New South Wales, and I'm beyond excited to share this fab experience with you!

You know me, a bit obsessed with tutus and everything ballet, right? So when I saw a post on Instagram about a special Tutu Tuesday event in my new hometown, I knew I had to get involved.

Imagine this: A morning full of ballet inspiration and good vibes, right on the beautiful South West Rocks foreshore!

I had a look around and my heart skipped a beat, as the girls were already out in force, their tutus in a range of styles –

  • classic,
  • romantic,
  • modern and,
  • oh, some even rocking a custom-designed masterpiece with sequined embellishments!

The sun was shining, the air was fresh, and I just felt so inspired by these beautiful, strong women, all embracing their love for dance and self-expression.

The event itself was truly amazing, kicking off with a warm-up class taught by a fantastic local ballet instructor. It was great for all levels, and even I – with a little bit of a rusty technique - felt completely comfortable. I could definitely feel the joy of ballet returning!

Next up, it was time for the 'tutu parade.' Oh my, let me tell you, it was fabulous! Everyone twirling and dancing along the boardwalk, all those vibrant colours and twirling tutus were just incredible! I felt a serious urge to grab a video!

But that wasn’t all – the event also had live music, a delicious market selling everything from artisan chocolates and homemade jewellery, to handmade clothing and accessories. You name it, I bet they had it there!

As the day came to an end, I was surrounded by smiles, laughter, and that warm, welcoming South West Rocks energy – the real magic!

This whole experience has really reinforced for me why I love ballet in Australia. It's all about celebrating passion, creativity, and inclusivity, right? And South West Rocks certainly did just that. It’s really become a local hub for artistic expression. And don’t even get me started on the amazing coastline, beaches and natural beauty. It's like stepping into a beautiful dream.

Now, as I write this blog post, I'm already feeling excited about next Tutu Tuesday. Let's face it – I love to support all local events and activities!

So, for all you lovely dancers and ballet enthusiasts out there, make sure you check out #tututuesday in South West Rocks! Who knows, maybe you’ll even see me there.

Until next time, happy dancing!
