Tutu Tuesday in Capel, Western Australia #tututuesday G’day, darlings! It’s your girl, Amelia here, bringing you another edition of my favourite day of the week, Tutu Tuesday! Today, we’re ditching the city slickers and heading down to the gorgeous seaside town of Capel in Western Australia. It’s a stunning place, especially if you’re after a laid-back beach vibe and some breathtaking coastal scenery. So, what’s Tutu Tuesday all about? Well, it’s about celebrating all things tutu. You see, it’s more than just a fancy little skirt in the world of ballet. It’s a symbol of grace, beauty, and of course, a whole lotta twirling! It’s a little slice of fairytale magic that every girl dreams of wearing at least once. Today, I'm showing off my brand new “Romantic Tutu.” It’s a soft, dreamy blush colour with layers upon layers of tulle that give it this lovely, cascading look. This style really reminds me of the classical ballets, all airy and ethereal. You can practically hear Tchaikovsky’s music playing in the background, don’t you think? But here’s the thing, Tutu Tuesday is about so much more than just showcasing the fancy frocks! • It’s about the community – sharing this love of ballet, sharing outfits, and getting all the inspiring dance chat going! It’s about spreading the joy and grace of ballet and supporting dancers of all levels – even the “I can barely plie” kind! • It’s about taking that “outside the box” approach – showing people that tutus aren't just for ballet. From boho festivals to garden parties to picnics with your girls, you can rock a tutu for absolutely any occasion! It's about owning your inner ballerina and expressing your own style. • It’s about celebrating creativity – every tutu tells a story. It's about the endless possibilities, the intricate designs, the colours and fabrics - the detail in every stitch is an art form in itself! You know, it makes me feel proud of my little community of Tutu Tuesday enthusiasts across Australia! From the vibrant dance studios of Sydney to the buzzing streets of Melbourne, right down to our gorgeous beaches in Perth, it’s all about that sense of being part of something bigger. We share a passion for all things graceful and fabulous! Now, a little bit about ballet in Western Australia. Capel itself has a strong history with ballet – there was a local dance school for many years, which is wonderful for keeping this art form alive and inspiring future dancers. Perth is a bit of a hub for ballet with companies like the West Australian Ballet making a big splash! They’re really pushing the boundaries of what we understand ballet to be - with innovative choreography and a truly modern touch! But no matter if you’re a professional dancer, a weekend warrior, or someone just starting their ballet journey, remember – it's all about the love of the art and the expression it allows. So, if you’re in Capel this week, be sure to embrace Tutu Tuesday with a twirl (or two)! Even if it's a cheeky little twirl in your casual attire, you’ll feel the magic! #tututuesday
