Launching Place, with its charming, laid-back vibes, is a bit of a hidden gem on the Mornington Peninsula. But today, it’s become a haven for tutu lovers like myself! It’s a bit of a different setting for a Tutu Tuesday, a little bit further from the hustle and bustle of the city than my usual spots, but the fresh air and beachy charm certainly make it worth the trip!

There was a friendly competition for who had the most impressive tutu! There were a few contenders who've outdone themselves – one was a dazzling, floor-length number with cascading ruffles in an electrifying turquoise shade, another had a bold statement-making, layered design in shimmering metallic fabric, with vibrant accents. Then, there was this incredible contemporary piece in black, that was edgy and powerful – so far from the traditional tulle but oh-so-chic!
We even had some impromptu tutu styling workshops where those who are new to the world of ballet, or maybe even shy to wear a tutu, got tips on finding the perfect fit and how to make it their own. And let's not forget the dance workshops! They were super fun – a mix of traditional ballet technique with some contemporary flair – great for beginners and experts alike. I saw some folks completely blossom with their movement skills – the confidence was radiating from them.
