G'day lovelies!
It's Tutu Tuesday, and I'm so excited to be celebrating this special day in the stunning coastal paradise of Tin Can Bay, Queensland! As a dancer, there's just something about the twirling, the grace, the sheer joy of donning a tutu that makes me feel absolutely fabulous. Today, I'm channeling my inner ballerina, and I can't wait to share my love for all things tutu with you!
Tin Can Bay has been buzzing with the energy of #tututuesday. I spotted so many local girls strutting their stuff in the most gorgeous tutus. I even saw a cute little dachshund sporting a mini tutu – so adorable! From classic Romantic tutus with their romantic layers to the dramatic modern ones, the style variations were endless. The best part is how tutu-ing is for everyone! It's about expressing yourself, being comfortable in your own skin and most importantly – having fun.
My tutu today is a whimsical confection – a fluffy, powder-pink tulle dream. I paired it with a breezy white blouse, a stylish straw hat and my favourite pair of Birkenstocks. I don't think you can go wrong with Birkenstocks. They're comfy and make the outfit. They are just as suitable for walking through a sun-drenched marketplace as they are for strolling along the glistening shore. This kind of laidback style feels so uniquely Aussie to me.
Speaking of the marketplace, the atmosphere here in Tin Can Bay is truly magical. The salty air mingled with the tantalizing aromas of freshly baked scones, sizzling fish and chips, and locally-made honey – I'm in my happy place!
Let’s talk a little about Australian ballet. Did you know Australia has some seriously talented dancers and a thriving ballet scene? Our local dance schools churn out some pretty amazing artists and, thanks to the national company, The Australian Ballet, we have world-class ballet right on our doorstep. We are truly lucky!
We need to celebrate these ballerinas who make our country so proud! This tutu is my homage to their incredible dedication and talent, and my own love for dance.
