Tutu Tuesday in Warburton, Victoria: A Ballet Blogger's Diary
G’day, darlings! It's your girl, Maisie, back with another Tutu Tuesday adventure! Today, I'm taking you all the way out to Warburton, Victoria – a little haven tucked away in the Dandenong Ranges, a stone's throw from Melbourne. Let me tell you, it's got the cutest little village vibe going on, and a heap of natural beauty to boot.
Now, I know you might be wondering what a ballerina's doing way out in the sticks, right? Well, my darlings, I’ve always been drawn to places that inspire me – nature, fresh air, and a whole lotta serenity. Plus, a little adventure never hurt nobody!
As soon as I arrived in Warburton, I felt this vibe. And I’ve got to admit, even my dancewear game got a little upgraded in honour of the surroundings. The whole "ballet in nature" aesthetic had me swapping out my standard black leotard for a stunning burnt-orange number, a piece that looked absolutely divine against the lush green foliage of the Ranges.
Speaking of the Ranges, a walk through the forest is a must! You can even pack a picnic basket and head up to one of the lookouts, all those majestic views would be just perfect for a little photoshoot with my pink tutu and a bit of light dance photography. I’m dreaming of that photo right now - all wispy tutus and natural light with my little black pumps tucked neatly next to me. Now, I’m a girl who loves her little black pumps but my go-to shoes today are some fab silver Mary Janes! I just can't resist that hint of sparkle.
The day ended with a lovely high tea at this cute little cafe right in the heart of Warburton. The service was just fabulous and those scones with cream and jam! Absolutely delicious, not to mention perfectly instagrammable.
