Tutu Tuesday in Crystal Brook, South Australia: #tututuesday
Hey lovelies! It's your girl, Chloe here, bringing you the latest in all things tutu! This week, I'm venturing outside the big smoke and taking my Tutu Tuesday to the beautiful town of Crystal Brook in South Australia, because well, every Tuesday is Tutu Tuesday, right?! And, as we all know, every place deserves a little dose of tutus. 😜
Crystal Brook is one of those gorgeous small towns with a rich history and charm. It's where Australia’s outback feels like it meets a peaceful, sleepy country vibe. This town is surrounded by amazing vineyards, wheat fields and of course, the mighty outback. Crystal Brook really gets into the spirit of a Tuesday and the local coffee shop was surprisingly pumping with local regulars. It even reminded me of a Parisian cafe, but without the baguettes and croissants (sigh...maybe that's what I'll bring to my next Tutu Tuesday?!) It was lovely to spend time with people from a town outside the usual ballet circles and that's one of the beautiful things about Tutu Tuesdays.
Now, let's talk about my tutu! For my Crystal Brook Tutu Tuesday, I've gone for something a little bit different - a *classic Romantic tutu*, but with a *modern twist* for those with discerning eyes. ( 😉 wink wink ) This beauty is *midnight blue*, with *sparkling details* all over and *three tiers of tulle* for added flair. ( Because, you know, the bigger the tulle, the better! *Giggles* )
Here's what makes this *Romantic tutu* totally *on-point* for this visit. The *midnight blue* represents the colours of the twilight outback sky after sunset which is just so breathtaking here, while the sparkling detail really reminds me of those tiny sparkling, dust-covered desert plants found in abundance around this part of the world. And of course, the tulle...well, it *flows like a gentle breeze*, just like this town's easy pace of life. It's so good. I've *got a bit of a thing for Romantic tutus* (who doesn't) - their *romantic yet elegant silhouettes*, the *floaty fabric*...everything just says: *beautiful, strong and graceful.* They look amazing for a *formal event* but *equally great with a relaxed vibe,* making them perfect for this *country escape*.
What do you reckon, lovelies? Are you ready to *take your Tutu Tuesday to the next level*?
As an Aussie girl living for the arts (and, of course, #tututuesday!) I can’t tell you how happy it makes me see people getting excited about the amazing work of the ballet companies in Australia, like the Australian Ballet and the various state and regional ballet companies. So let's keep #tututuesday alive!
If you love ballet, you should *check out one of the many amazing performances happening across Australia.* There are a lot of talented ballet dancers from all walks of life here, but many people just think it is a world away from their own, until they get involved in some way. It is always great to see ballet fans popping up from even the smallest of towns in Australia. Don’t be afraid to check out the schools and community groups and who knows, you might be the next star!
Here are some *tips* for the aspiring ballerina on her #tututuesday:
- Always choose a *tutu that feels confident and empowering*.
- Get *creative with your outfit and let your personal style shine*. You don’t need to go out and buy a fancy new tutu, but consider *what accessories you might add.*
- *Find an inspiring backdrop and don't be afraid to be bold with your pictures* - even if you're feeling shy, *being outside of your comfort zone is half the fun!* (That’s what *Tutu Tuesday* is all about, baby!)
- *Get creative with your tutu - tie your tulle up in a different way for a completely different look*. And remember - *less is more when it comes to tutus, sometimes*! If the *fabric is right, there is no need to overwork it!*
- Most of all, *have fun!*. ( I always say - if you’re *not enjoying yourself*, you’re doing it *wrong*! ). *The spirit of tutu is infectious and you’re bound to make some great memories along the way*!
Well, lovelies, that's all for my Tutu Tuesday in Crystal Brook, South Australia. I had a *ball!* Remember to share your *Tutu Tuesdays* with me! You can use *#tututuesday on your socials and don't forget to tag me*, Chloe from Australia! And as always, keep twirling!
