This little pocket of Australia is buzzing with a vibrant energy thanks to the locals embracing the power of tutus! Whether it's a whimsical pastel tulle creation, a dramatic black swan silhouette, or a playful, modern, almost-barely-there tutu, the streets of Culcairn are practically dancing! This isn't your grandmother's ballet class, my lovelies – think vintage vibes with a modern twist, all fuelled by the joy of expressing oneself.
Last Tuesday, I hit the town, feeling like a princess ready to conquer the world (or at least, the Culcairn bakery, which is my absolute weakness!) The ladies had pulled out all the stops: the local cafe owner was serving her signature latte in a tutu-themed latte art – now that’s what I call service! Even the butcher, bless his heart, had a tiny tutu on his apron, with the word "Tutu Tuesday" emblazoned on the front! It’s safe to say, the community is truly embracing the fun.
As an Australian ballerina, my heart sings when I see this kind of love for the art form – it reminds me why we all fell in love with ballet in the first place.
