It's your favourite tutu-loving blogger back at it again with another post, this time, right from the heart of Douglas Park, New South Wales! And what's better than a Tuesday in this glorious city? A **Tutu Tuesday**, of course! Every week, my mates and I try to get together to rock our best tutus. We even make sure we’re decked out in the full get-up – think bun, leotard and pointe shoes, the lot! It’s such a fun way to celebrate our love for ballet, express ourselves and channel our inner prima ballerinas. You know, with a little bit of Aussie sass thrown in. We call ourselves the Douglas Park Tutu Squad and we’ve got a new tradition – every Tuesday we try out a new spot in the park. It could be a little secret corner we’ve stumbled upon, or maybe it's right outside a cute cafe that sells the best scones (you gotta try those! I can give you a shout-out later) The best part about Tutu Tuesday in Douglas Park? You meet some awesome people! Seriously, you wouldn’t believe the kind of conversations we have! We get to share stories about our passion for ballet and how we got into it, even share tips and tricks. It’s so much more than just posing with our tutus. We’re a real community! Here are some of the Tutu styles we’ve been loving lately * **The Romantic Tutu**: This one's classic for a reason! With layers of tulle, it's a truly breathtaking look that whispers “vintage elegance”. Just be prepared to take it slow as you gracefully glide around the park - it can be a bit tricky on those grass patches. * **The Whimsical Tutu**: For all the fun-loving gals who love a touch of sparkle, this one's a real treat! We've got tulle skirts adorned with bright colours, sequins and glitter that sparkle like a disco ball! We even tried adding fluffy boas, feathers and colourful headbands to add a touch of pizazz. If you're all about vibrancy and adding your own spin, the whimsical tutu is perfect for you! * **The Everyday Tutu**: This one’s our new fave! Because let’s be real, not all of us can rock a pointe shoe everyday (especially with all the walking we do!) It's the ultimate mix of practicality and ballet magic! Imagine this: a simple black tulle tutu worn over a cute pair of jeans or even a skirt and a comfy top, and you’re ready to rock Tutu Tuesday. Easy and stylish! * **The 'Extra' Tutu**: We're not afraid to go big! And this one’s all about letting those artistic muscles shine! For our last Tutu Tuesday, one of our mates went all out! She adorned a white tutu with hundreds of tiny sparkly stickers and a massive neon sign with her name on it. She got so many compliments on it. She really owned it! From Classical Ballet to Tutu Tuesdays The Australian ballet scene is always thriving with all its creativity. We have the Australian Ballet in Melbourne, Sydney Dance Company in Sydney, and so many more amazing companies and studios, and you wouldn't believe how much talent is in every single state and territory in our country. But you know, the ballet world is more than just fancy performances, there are events like ours all over Australia that give everyone a chance to embrace it! You don’t need a fancy stage, a tutu is all you need. Tutu Tuesdays in Douglas Park?
