Tutu Tuesday in Mount Macedon, Victoria
G’day fellow tutu enthusiasts! It's your girl, Ava, back with another #tututuesday post. This week I'm taking my twirls to the picturesque Mount Macedon in Victoria, where the air is crisp, the trees are a stunning kaleidoscope of autumn colours and the #tututuesday vibe is just as strong as ever.
I’ve always been fascinated by tutus - they are the embodiment of ballet, elegance, and a touch of magic. From the traditional **Romantic tutus**, billowing with layers of tulle, to the sleek and modern **contemporary tutus** with their minimalist designs and intricate cuts, there's a tutu style for every taste and mood. For this #tututuesday I've decided to wear my go-to **bell-shaped tutu** made from layers of pale pink and shimmering white tulle. It's whimsical and airy, which is perfect for capturing that #tututuesday magic in this stunning setting.
Now, I know what you’re thinking: “Isn't wearing a tutu to Mount Macedon a little too dramatic?” My answer to that, is a resounding “Absolutely not!” Mount Macedon is one of those places where every moment feels like a fairytale. You know, all that stunning scenery with rolling hills, majestic gums, and those captivating views of the Dandenong Ranges? I’m certain that if Tchaikovsky could have seen Mount Macedon, he would have set “Swan Lake” there.
As we walked the trails of Mount Macedon, the tutu swished around my legs with every step. This, along with the slight breeze, made me feel like a true fairy of the forest. Even better, a local artist caught sight of us and immediately called out "G’day ladies, lovely tutu! We get a lot of **#tututuesday** in this part of the world". We were ecstatic to receive so much positive feedback! She even pointed to the local art gallery - The Mount Macedon Gallery. With it's vibrant arts scene that embraces creativity in all forms, Mount Macedon's atmosphere is one that truly embraces **#tututuesday** in all it's whimsical glory.
And while tutu lovers like us know that any day is tutu day, Tuesdays feel even more special. Because who wouldn't want to add a dash of enchantment to their Tuesday grind, right? Here in Melbourne, and Victoria more broadly, **#tututuesday** is much more than a hashtag, it's a lifestyle! Whether you’re waltzing down the cobblestone streets of Fitzroy, stretching your limbs on St Kilda beach or even just popping into the local Coles to grab some groceries, **#tututuesday** has everyone talking about the magical power of tutus and celebrating ballet in all its wonderful forms.
This little dance in the great outdoors at Mount Macedon, gave me a new appreciation for this iconic fashion staple. It's a constant reminder to always bring a touch of whimsy to life, no matter what the day throws at you. We ended the afternoon sharing our #tututuesday spirit with some of the locals in a fun picnic, as we ate and laughed and reminisced about a perfect Mount Macedon Tuesday.
