Tutu Tuesday in Monto, Queensland: A Ballet-Inspired Fashion Adventure! #tututuesday
Hey gorgeous peeps! It's your fave Aussie ballet blogger, Chloe, here, and I'm SO excited to share my recent #tututuesday adventures from the charming town of Monto in Queensland! This place is a hidden gem, with stunning scenery, friendly faces, and, you guessed it, an abundance of opportunities for a fabulous tutu-fied fashion moment! 😄
Let me tell you, folks, Tutu Tuesday is NO joke. Every week, the whole town transforms into a whirlwind of tulle, sparkles, and all things tutu-tastic! I’m talking frothy classical tutus, the dramatic ones like in Swan Lake, romantic and soft romantic tutus and even some whimsical modern creations perfect for those contemporary ballet inspired looks. Whether it's a full-on ballerina costume or just a dash of tutu flair, it’s all about celebrating our love for ballet in Australia!
My day began with a leisurely stroll through the town square, which was bursting with locals in their finest tutu-inspired outfits! I was simply amazed at the creativity on display. From grandmas in elegant tutus over jeans and blouses to young lads rocking sparkly tutus with their skateboards – it was an absolute spectacle!
One of my favourite highlights was definitely the "Tutu Tea Party" at the local cafe. Imagine: dainty teacups, delicious scones, and all our guests decked out in fabulous tutu outfits! You've never seen such a perfectly whimsical tea party! We chatted, shared stories, and laughed together, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Later, I decided to try my hand at a little DIY tutu creation! You won't believe what I found: a charming fabric shop nestled in a side street. After sifting through mountains of lace, ribbon, and shimmering tulle, I emerged with all the makings for a show-stopping "Tutu-fied Cholo" masterpiece! (You know I gotta rep my fave dancer – Cholo!)
And of course, no Monto #tututuesday is complete without a visit to the local ballet studio. I was lucky enough to witness an inspiring ballet class filled with young dancers who, believe me, have all the right moves and serious talent. It's so rewarding to see ballet thriving in Australia and Monto really embraces it with open arms!
