Tutu Tuesday in Mollymook, New South Wales: A Whirlwind of Tulle and Sunshine

Hey, dance lovers! It’s your girl, Mia, back with another installment of Tutu Tuesday! This week, we’re trading in the big city bustle for some seaside serenity. Yep, I’ve traded my usual ballet studio for the sandy shores of Mollymook, New South Wales – a gorgeous coastal haven on the south coast that's known for its breathtaking beaches, cute cafes, and a whole lot of chill vibes.

Now, before you get the wrong idea, I’m not just sunning myself here. Tutu Tuesday is always a must, even when the ocean’s calling. So, naturally, I brought along a few of my favorite tutus – because let's be real, what's a girl to wear to a seaside photoshoot?

A Tutus for Every Occasion

First up, we have my classic **Romantic tutu**. Think soft layers of tulle, delicately gathered around the waist – the kind of tutu you could twirl in all day and still feel light as a feather. It’s the perfect choice for strolling along the Mollymook boardwalk and soaking up the sun. Imagine: The salty breeze ruffling the tulle, the waves crashing against the shore, and a killer sunset backdrop – what more could a tutu-loving girl ask for?

But of course, one tutu just isn’t enough for a proper Tutu Tuesday adventure. So next up, we're stepping things up a notch with a **contemporary style**. Picture a super flowy tutu, almost like a skirt, with more layers than you can count – think sheer elegance mixed with a modern edge. It’s a bit more practical than my romantic one for a beach day, and I can twirl in it without worry of getting my layers tangled in the sand.

Speaking of tangled tulle, I definitely have a backup plan – a trusty **practice tutu**. It’s simple, streamlined, and perfect for those unexpected rehearsals that pop up while you're on holiday (we've all been there, right?). Plus, I love that it's versatile - wear it over swimwear for a quick swim, or for a spot of impromptu pirouettes with a view.

Dancing Dreams on the Coast

It's been amazing experiencing the vibrant dance scene here in Mollymook. From the local ballet classes, where kids and adults alike twirl with a contagious passion, to the open-air dance events, every time I step out in my tutu, the people around me beam. There's such a love for dance and movement, whether you're in the city or enjoying the beach. You know you've found the right place when your dance outfit is never out of place.

It's incredible how dance can bring people together. On the beach, people are drawn to the colourful swirling of the tulle, kids ask about the stories the movements tell, and everyone's reminded of the joy of expressing themselves.

This time on Tutu Tuesday, the dance itself has taken on a more relaxed, whimsical feel. It's less about perfect steps and more about soaking up the sun, letting the wind blow through the layers, and remembering the joy of pure, unadulterated movement. After all, the beach is the ultimate stage. 🏖️

I love seeing other ballerinas embrace #TutuTuesday all over Australia. I saw some seriously gorgeous tutu-wearing beauties out and about on the beach. It was inspiring to see others taking their love for dance beyond the studio! It just goes to show: dance knows no boundaries. So let’s get this party started, Aussie dancers! We're all about spreading that Tutu Tuesday joy far and wide.

So here's to Tutu Tuesdays - wherever you are! And remember, if you're ever in Mollymook, NSW, you know where to find me: twirling on the beach, a whimsical tutu in hand! 💖 #tututuesday #mollymooknsw #australianballet #dancelife #beachlife #coastalvibes #ballet #tutus
