Tutu Tuesday in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan: A Whirlwind of #tututuesday Fashion
Hey everyone! It's your favourite ballet-obsessed blogger, Chloe, back with another edition of #tututuesday from Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan! I've been hitting the studios hard this week, perfecting those pirouettes and perfecting my Tutu Tuesday outfit game!
I'm on a mission to share the beauty of ballet, show off some killer tutus, and prove that even a small town can have a big-time sense of style!
Tutus, these little frocks of dance magic, have become more than just a costume - they are a fashion statement! Whether we are talking the classic, romantic lines of the tutu-style romantic ballerina or the bold and dramatic jumps and jeté-es that the more modern dancer brings to stage! We can’t leave out the fluffy tutu that has brought us joy and grace on stage. From the traditional, fluffy white tulle of the "classical" tutus, the wispy layers of the romantic ones to the minimalist elegance of the contemporary tutu- There's something magical about each of them. It is my mission to bring some Tutu Tuesday inspiration to your feed!
Meadow Lake might be known for its serene lakes and wide-open spaces but, I tell you what - we are also full of fashionista dancers! This town is bursting with talent and creativity, so get ready for some amazing inspiration! I even managed to find some fabulous local shops that sell beautiful tutus and accessories, and I had the pleasure of working with some amazing local photographers who captured the essence of Tutu Tuesday! We’ve also had the chance to shoot in some gorgeous locations around the city, adding an extra touch of magic to the whole shoot.
Okay, so you are ready for some tutus! I've curated some of my favourites this week, I’ll also throw in some handy tips and fashion hacks. I can’t wait to hear all about your favorite #tututuesday outfits
Let's get into this!
- First up: The Classic "Princess" Tutu. The fluffy, romantic tulle of this style is so much fun to wear. I chose one in pale pink, and let it flow and swirl, as if I'm floating on clouds ! Tip: It’s a great way to add a touch of elegance and a hint of whimsy to your outfit!
- The "Modern" Tutu I found a little black tutu, and let's just say it completely changed the game! It was short and snug, and the soft layers of tulle flowed around me in every pirouette! If you’re looking for something bold and eye-catching for your Tutu Tuesday look, then a modern tutu is the perfect option.
- The "Dramatic" Tutu! This one takes "statement piece" to the next level. It's layered and extra, in every way, from the huge poofy silhouette to the bright and bold colours of tulle! I chose a yellow and fuschia one and had so much fun swirling it around.
- Don't forget to add a little sparkle . Accessorizing your tutu is just as important as choosing the perfect tutu I opted for some sparkly heels and a bold, glittery statement necklace. Because... Why not! A few extra spangles never hurt! And when it comes to tutus – more is always better, right?!
