This shop owner, a sweet, grandmotherly lady named Mildred, explained how Sifton had a thriving ballet community in the 1950s and 60s. You can still find whispers of its golden age in the old town hall, now home to the Sifton Ballet Society. It even hosts annual summer ballet camps!
