Tutu Tuesday in Glenboro-South Cypress, Manitoba, Canada: #tututuesday Hey, dance lovers! It's your girl, Jenna, here, back with another edition of "Tutu Tuesday!" As you know, I'm always looking for a reason to don my favourite dancewear and strut my stuff, and there's no better excuse than #tututuesday. Today's adventure brings us to Glenboro-South Cypress, Manitoba, a charming little corner of Canada that surprised me with its vibrant dance scene. So, if you're ever in Glenboro-South Cypress, you absolutely HAVE to check out the Glenboro School of Dance! I just finished a guest workshop with the students, and I'm totally impressed. They were so full of energy and excitement, and their skills were truly remarkable. Speaking of skills, they're all wearing such adorable tutus! We saw everything from classic Romantic tutus, which were so ethereal and flowing, to the more modern, sleek, and minimalist style that I absolutely love! It really reminded me of the diversity of tutus in the ballet world. And here’s another Canadian gem! The local dance troupe, “Cypress Creek Dance,” was rehearsing for a production of “The Nutcracker.” I got to watch part of the rehearsal, and it was fantastic! There was so much energy and passion in the room, and everyone was absolutely giving their all. We also saw some fabulous tutus during their rehearsal: lots of Romantic and “sugar plum” style tutus for the women, along with some amazing character and demi-character pieces that brought so much detail and texture to their roles! The dancers themselves mentioned how thrilled they are to be dancing for their community. We’re seeing a ton of artistic excellence in Canada, from coast to coast! You guys know how much I love seeing my fellow dancers in action, especially on #tututuesday, but one of the best parts of the trip was actually just wandering around town. The shops had all kinds of cute vintage and boutique clothing. And guess what? They had the cutest little store specializing in tutus! Seriously, it was a dancer’s dream come true. My little tutu heart was absolutely overjoyed! After getting so inspired by all these talented dancers in Glenboro-South Cypress, I've decided that for today's #tututuesday challenge, we’re all going to get creative and embrace our love of the tutu.
