Tutu Tuesday in Saint-Elie-de-Caxton, Quebec: A Tutu-tastic Time! #tututuesday

Hey everyone! It’s your girl, Chloe here, and I’m back with another fabulous Tutu Tuesday! This week, I’m bringing you all the excitement from the beautiful town of Saint-Elie-de-Caxton, Quebec, a place where history and culture collide, creating an enchanting backdrop for my tutu adventures. It's time to celebrate the power of dance, the joy of dressing up, and the magic that a tutu can bring! #tututuesday

Today’s Tutu Tuesday felt extra special. As I made my way to the heart of Saint-Elie-de-Caxton, I couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement. The streets were bustling with friendly faces, all eager to embrace the unique charm of this charming town. I mean, who wouldn't be excited about the opportunity to dance amongst some of Canada's most beautiful historic sites?

I chose a gorgeous, airy, romantic tutu in the softest shade of blush pink, paired with a flowy, ivory silk blouse, a soft white cardigan for those chillier Canadian moments, and ballet flats. The combination felt classic and feminine while maintaining a modern touch. The tutu itself was a confection of delicate layers, soft tulle and strategically placed embellishments - it was a dream to dance in!

For my photoshoot, I went to the heart of the town's beauty – the gorgeous old stone chapel of Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil. As I pirouetted in front of its majestic facade, I felt like I'd stepped right out of a classic ballet. The ancient, weathered stone seemed to whisper stories of the past, making each pirouette all the more dramatic.

It's incredible how much history a place can hold! Saint-Elie-de-Caxton is famous as the home of the legendary Canadian writer, Father Marie-Victorin. His legacy hangs heavy in the air, and the entire town has this mystical, inspiring feel. This, combined with the picturesque nature of the place, truly felt like an immersive and incredible experience.

But it wasn’t all about ballet and historical landmarks! A little later in the day, I found myself enjoying some delicious Québécois cuisine in the heart of town. I sampled some freshly made maple syrup products – it's truly the heart of local production! This, alongside some traditional, heartwarming local dishes, provided the perfect break from a busy morning of dancing around town! The warm atmosphere of the restaurant made me feel right at home, just like my mom used to say. You know, a good homemade meal can go a long way!

As the sun began to set, I went for a little wander around town. As a Canadian girl myself, Saint-Elie-de-Caxton's relaxed vibe totally felt like home. Its beautiful surroundings combined with a warm, open atmosphere created an environment where you can really soak up the local culture and beauty. Even if you’re a first-timer!

Of course, no trip to Quebec would be complete without some local souvenir shopping. This led me to an adorable little shop in the centre of town, filled with all sorts of handcrafted treats, from beautiful pottery to handmade crafts. I came away with some amazing handmade items to remind me of my amazing day in this breathtaking place.

As the sun began to sink towards the horizon, bathing the quaint streets in golden light, I decided it was time for me to make my way home. My day in Saint-Elie-de-Caxton had been a beautiful, unforgettable experience that I’ll cherish forever. A reminder that life is all about experiencing new things and taking opportunities to spread a little magic along the way – even if that means wearing a tutu and dancing around a historical town! #tututuesday
