Tutu Tuesday in Durham, New Brunswick: A Celebration of Ballet and Style

Hey everyone! It's your girl, Chloe, back with another post, and this week, I'm all about the Tutu! As you know, every Tuesday is Tutu Tuesday for me, and it just so happens to be a big one this week. We're celebrating the magical world of ballet in Durham, New Brunswick, where the love for the art form runs deep.

As a ballerina who grew up in the Maritimes, I can confidently say that ballet is alive and kicking in our beautiful province. From the classical training at the National Ballet School in Toronto to the vibrant local studios all across the Maritimes, ballet has always held a special place in our cultural tapestry.

Now, back to the main event - tutus! You guys know I'm a sucker for a classic Romantic tutu. The airy, floaty tulle is simply magical, and those layered, romantic tiers are practically begging to be twirled. Plus, nothing beats the dramatic silhouette created by the full skirt! My personal go-to style is definitely the Romantic tutu. For our Tutu Tuesday celebration in Durham, I opted for a dreamy powder blue, accented with delicate silver trim - a perfect nod to the sea and the serenity of New Brunswick. But we're not just talking about classic tutus here!

As a modern ballerina, I'm all for a bit of experimental flair, and today, I spotted some fabulously avant-garde tutus on my fellow dancers. I'm talking asymmetrical designs, playful fabric combinations, and pops of bold color! One of my favorites was a contemporary tutu crafted from sleek black jersey and dramatic panels of silver mesh. Another dancer wowed us with a mesmerizing fuchsia tutu that had a vibrant, almost graffiti-like pattern - it was definitely a statement piece! I think we've got ourselves a true tutu trendsetter!

You can wear a tutu anytime, but #tututuesday is our dedicated day to show off the twirl-tastic pieces in our wardrobes! If you're rocking a tutu today, post a pic, share your #tututuesday story, and tag me so we can all celebrate together!
