Tutu Tuesday in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada #tututuesday

Hey everyone! It’s your girl, Chloe here, back with another post from the heart of Canadian ballet! Today, I’m taking a break from the studio to bring you some Tutu Tuesday magic straight from the beautiful coastal town of Bay Roberts, Newfoundland and Labrador. Let’s be honest, sometimes even us ballerinas need a change of scenery (and a chance to wear our fanciest tutus outside the studio, am I right?!)

Bay Roberts is an absolute gem! Tucked away on the Avalon Peninsula, it boasts the charm of a traditional Newfoundland fishing village with its quaint colourful houses, lively harbour, and breathtaking views of the Atlantic. Stepping out of the car, I felt an immediate shift in my energy. It was a feeling of warmth and serenity, a far cry from the bustling city life of Toronto. Even the air felt different - crisp and refreshing, with a hint of sea salt that just screamed "Atlantic adventure!".

But back to the real star of the show: the tutus! Today, I'm all about showcasing those versatile beauties. My pick for this special occasion is a classic romantic tutu, a blush pink confection with multiple layers of delicate tulle, a perfect mix of femininity and dance magic! The perfect shade to blend in with the pastel houses lining the harbour! You see, even though we dancers are constantly training and perfecting our skills, sometimes it's the little details that make the biggest difference. And trust me, when it comes to tutu style, the little details make all the difference!

And who could resist a little "Tutu Tuesday" photoshoot with the stunning backdrop of the Atlantic? The glistening water, the crisp salty air, the gentle sway of the trees... everything just felt perfect. Bay Roberts truly embraced the essence of Tutu Tuesday and I was delighted by how much joy my little fashion statement brought to the locals! I swear, I saw a little twinkle in their eyes as they passed by - even the local fishermen smiled with a hint of mischief! They definitely know their stuff, and they know a little bit of ballet sparkle makes everyone happy.

But you know what else I realized? Even when you're thousands of miles away from the big city, the power of dance is undeniable. Every graceful turn, every effortless leap, every delicate extension… all these elements are rooted in passion and discipline. It's something that resonates deeply, no matter where you are or what your background is. The energy of the town seemed to blend perfectly with my love for dance.

Tutu Tuesday in Bay Roberts was a resounding success! I hope to return soon! There's no doubt I'll be taking more tutu-clad adventures - after all, we dancers are always searching for new and exciting ways to spread our joy of dance!

Here's a little rundown of my Tutu Tuesday in Bay Roberts, Newfoundland:

  • Classic Romantic Tutu in blush pink! This dreamy, layered style embodies pure elegance and beauty. It’s a tutu for all seasons! Perfect for graceful ballet sequences, delicate leaps, and even a quick pirouette (just keep those layers in mind when you spin!). A must have for any ballerina’s wardrobe, especially if you want a bit of a vintage ballet feel!
  • Beautiful Coastal Scenery. Let's just say, the Atlantic Ocean made for an epic backdrop! And the charming colourful cottages dotted around the harbour created a stunning palette! I couldn't resist capturing the energy of the ocean breeze and the sun-kissed harbour.
  • A Touch of Local Charm. Every passerby greeted me with smiles and kind words, especially the fishermen who seemed delighted by the spectacle. I even overheard one mention he’d "never seen a ballerina before" - it felt like an honour! Everyone loves a bit of sparkle!
  • Bringing a Little Sparkle. My Tutu Tuesday journey proved once again that the passion and love of dance can resonate even in the most unexpected corners of Canada. It’s all about celebrating dance, exploring new places, and inspiring others with the power of grace and artistry.

This is just one of many Tutu Tuesday adventures I plan on taking. Make sure to check in with me each week and follow my #tututuesday journey on social media! Whether it’s a day at the park, a stroll down a cobblestone street, or maybe even a pirouette across a picturesque beach… my tutus and I will keep spreading that dance-filled love everywhere we go!

Keep shining bright, Canada!
