Peace River, Alberta #tututuesday Okay, you guys, Tutu Tuesday in Peace River, Alberta, was LIT. I know, I know, youā€™re thinking ā€œTutus? In Peace River? Seriously?ā€ But trust me, the small-town vibes didnā€™t stop us from channeling our inner prima ballerinas and rocking some seriously chic tutus. This week was all about the vintage vibes - I'm talking tulle clouds, layered ruffles, and even some strategically placed sequins! The most amazing thing? We found these amazing vintage tutus at this cool little antique shop downtown - Talk about hidden gems! Honestly, who says we canā€™t bring the fashion game to the Prairies? Think romantic, dreamy, ethereal, and you're basically in my kinda tutu aesthetic. A good tutu is a wardrobe staple no matter what - for any occasion, for any dance! Ballet in Canada, especially here in the smaller cities, is all about embracing a unique style - and a good tutu always helps to show off that individuality, ya know? But, like, What is Tutu Tuesday? Tutu Tuesday - or as I like to call it #tututuesday - is an excuse to basically just wear a tutu whenever the heck you want. For me, itā€™s a little way of celebrating dance, style, and having a bit of fun with it all. Basically, think a little dance party in the heart of our Canadian prairies! I started the whole Tutu Tuesday thing last year in a sort of spur-of-the-moment thing, and you guys know how it is - a little bit of fun, a lot of whimsy - totally our vibe, right? The amazing thing is that it just blossomed from there. I posted pics of me dancing around Peace Riverā€™s beautiful historic park (who knew there was a whole world of beauty in these parks?) in my tutu, and bam, other people in town decided to join in on the fun. It was awesome - imagine people of all ages in their own unique styles, strutting around town! Here's the best part about #tututuesday - we can get creative. Some girls in the city just put a tutu over a comfy everyday outfit - a jeans and a t-shirt with a cute little tulle cloud flowing behind them, for example! You guys - super chic. Some tutu tips - cause who doesnā€™t want to rock a good tutu? I learned some really cool things while doing my own Tutu Tuesday - so I wanted to share: - **Donā€™t be afraid of the classics:** For real. For Tutu Tuesday, go for the classic dance styles - the romantic tutus, the fluffy tutus - let them take you to a place of magic! That confidence will shine through! - **A tutu should fit your personality**: If you want to add your own unique style, maybe layer with denim, lace, leather - basically let your fashion freak flag fly. This is all about showing off that inner-artist!
