Tutu Tuesday in Cramahe, Ontario: A Tutu-licious Celebration of Dance
Itā€™s Tuesday, which means itā€™s time for #tututuesday! And you know what that means, right? Tutus, of course! I love Tutu Tuesdays because they give me the perfect excuse to don my favourite tutus. And honestly, who doesnā€™t love a bit of tulle in their life? I've always found tutus to be so elegant and feminine, not to mention a bit whimsical! Today, however, Iā€™m going to put on a tutu, step outside of my usual ballet practice space and celebrate Tutu Tuesday with all of you. I want to share the magic of tutu-clad fun all over Cramahe.
Today Iā€™m exploring the charm of our small town of Cramahe, Ontario in a way thatā€™s a little outside of the box (okay, maybe a LOT outside of the box), and for a fun #tututuesday post Iā€™ve decided to make my tutu the star of the show. Letā€™s hit the streets!
Weā€™re taking tutu-mania to a new level in Cramahe today! You canā€™t miss it, with so many delightful spots to see the town with an eye toward tutu trends. Letā€™s explore and bring out the fun in a #tututuesday tutu fashion parade: Iā€™ll give you some tutu-tastic places to see and where to go:
Places in Cramahe that I Love to Take a Tutu:
1. Cramahe Farmers Market: The Local Flavour: - I always head over to the Cramahe Farmers Market for fresh, local produce. What better way to fuel a busy day than by indulging in farm-fresh fruits and veggies. There is something for everyone and it's a wonderful spot for getting a little of that sweet Canadian farm-to-table feel. And to add a little tutu-fied touch, I grabbed a couple of colourful apples to pair with my pink tulle. Apples and tutus, a match made in heaven!
2. The Waterfront: An Ode to Canadian Beauty: - This time, we're going for a picturesque look on #tututuesday and Iā€™m walking the scenic shores. Cramaheā€™s waterfront always captures a sense of Canadian beauty. The blue sky meets the still waters, and it just brings out that special feel. What better place to wear my new blue-grey and white, full, romantic tutu, a perfect complement to a perfect day.
3. Cramahe Library: The Ultimate Book Lover's Destination: - Of course, no Tutu Tuesday is complete without a visit to my favourite literary haunt. This week, I decided on the classic, elegant black tutu with a single bow, a look thatā€™s as elegant as a stack of beautifully bound, well-loved hardcovers. My Tutu-Tuesday book selections? The ā€œAnya's Ghostā€ by Vera Brosgol, "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee and ā€œPride & Prejudiceā€ by Jane Austen, three titles as fabulous as the library itself.
4. Downtown Cramahe: A Touch of Tutu Glamour: - And lastly, letā€™s not forget the charming shops in the downtown core. Today, Iā€™m heading over to the Vintage and Home Decor Store. Their window displays always spark joy in my heart, as I wander in and out of the shops for a unique shopping spree. My tutu pick for today, a black and red checked one for a hint of tutu-rific edginess.
Sharing the Tutu Love
I love sharing the magic of ballet, but there are some special experiences that deserve an even wider audience and that includes showing how much fun ballet can be for everyone in our little corner of the world, so here are a couple of things to remember for your own #tututuesday:
ā€¢ Wear a tutu: You don't have to be a dancer, it doesn't even need to be a classic ballet tutu; a tulle skirt is fine, maybe one of those shimmery party dresses you have tucked away. Whatever your take on tutu-fied attire, bring your favourite Tutu outfit and celebrate your own inner sparkle. And as for tutu styles? Take inspiration from classical ballet with classic, romantically soft, and multi-layered styles; or go for contemporary looks that include sassy, fun colours or interesting patterns. Pick your style!
ā€¢ Embrace Your Creativity: There are no limits, just imagine all of the possibilities; imagine yourself a fairytale princess, a dazzling dancer, an adventurous tutu explorerā€” have fun and own it! Youā€™ll be making heads turn in no time.
ā€¢ Use #tututuesday and #tutu for your pictures, maybe include #ballet. And feel free to post with some of these great Tutu Tuesday places and spots in the world.
Ballet in Canada
Ballet in Canada is experiencing an exciting evolution! The love for ballet in Canada, for me, stems from a genuine appreciation for creativity, artistic talent and the physical prowess. And if we all take inspiration from the dancers who perform on stage, from ballet schools to professional companies, from ballet barre classes to a casual stroll in a tutu; let's all make every Tuesday a #tututuesday with a little creativity.
