Tutu Tuesday in Sacre-Coeur-Saguenay, Quebec: A Day for Twirling and Turning Hey everyone! It's your girl, Chloe, here, back with another blog post. This time, I'm talking about Tutu Tuesday in Sacre-Coeur-Saguenay, Quebec, a special day for all ballet lovers. If you haven't heard of it, Tutu Tuesday is a global movement celebrating the iconic tutu. It's a day for people to show off their love of ballet and to get their twirl on! This week, it's taking place in my beautiful hometown, Sacre-Coeur-Saguenay, Quebec. What better place to celebrate Tutu Tuesday than in a city steeped in history and brimming with cultural spirit? You might think Sacre-Coeur-Saguenay is a long way from the big city ballet scene but the talent is abundant here. We're lucky to have incredible dance studios right here. Our local dancers put on dazzling performances all year round and you know they're going to come out in force for Tutu Tuesday. Let's talk tutus! There are so many different styles of tutus. There's the classic **Romantic Tutu**, all about billowing, airy layers of tulle that gives that ethereal, fairytale look. The **Romantic Tutu** was all the rage in the late 19th century. I'm wearing one as I write this post - I picked it up at a vintage shop, you'll have to see it on my Instagram. For the true "en pointe" look, there's the **Classical Tutu** which was all the rage in the early 20th century and was made for grand classical ballets, like Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, and Giselle. For a more modern take on the tutu, the **Contemporary Tutu** really leans into more unstructured and contemporary movement and looks fantastic. Then there's the **Demi-Tutu**, perfect for younger dancers and those who like a shorter, lighter look. This year's theme for Tutu Tuesday in Sacre-Coeur-Saguenay is "Tutu Tales." What do you think that means? That's right! It's about telling our stories through tutus, which means you'll be seeing dancers using their fashion to highlight stories of history, art and the magic of the performing arts. And of course, I wouldn't forget to mention the delicious side of ballet. This wouldn't be a Canadian blog post without mentioning all the incredible food and drink being served in the city today. My mom and I always stop by The *Chez Maman*, they've got the best *Poutine* in Sacre-Coeur-Saguenay! If you haven't had it, well you have to, trust me. But enough about that! It's time to get my twirl on! So, don't forget to come out and join me on Tutu Tuesday! Let's celebrate ballet and the incredible world of tutus! Remember to snap a few pictures and tag me @Chloe_Dancing, and be sure to share your Tutu Tuesday looks using the hashtag **#tututuesday** and **#TutuTuesdaySac-Coeur-Saguenay**. See you on the dance floor!
