Tutu Tuesday in Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, Quebec, Canada #tututuesday

Hey, fellow dance enthusiasts and fashionistas! It's your girl, Chloe, back with another installment of "Tutu Tuesday" - the day where we celebrate all things tulle, sparkle, and the art of dance! Today, I'm bringing the magic of #tututuesday straight to the charming town of Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, Quebec. It's a beautiful place steeped in history, but don't think for a moment that they're not rocking some serious dance vibes out here.

I know what you're thinking – ballet in Quebec? You bet! Canada is full of talented dancers, and Quebec is home to some amazing ballet schools, professional companies, and a passionate dance community. There's an abundance of creativity brewing out here, and this Tuesday I decided to spread some of that magic around the local park, surrounded by autumn leaves and the quiet charm of the Saint-Lawrence River.

But enough about me, let's get to the fun stuff! For today's #tututuesday I've chosen two gorgeous tutus:

  • Classic Romantic Tutu: This is a timeless, ballerina classic - soft layers of tulle, flowing down to a graceful point, just like a true Romantic ballerina would wear. Imagine airy spins and leaps! This particular beauty is from my personal collection - an antique hand-sewn creation I found at a vintage shop in Montreal, and I swear, this thing whispers stories of grand opera houses!
  • Modern Contemporary Tutu: This one's got some edge, with edgy angles and textured layers made with a combination of stretch fabrics and lightweight, sparkly tulle. This tutu gives "modern contemporary" dance a whole new dimension – think expressive choreography and striking poses, all while staying graceful, powerful, and unique! This one is brand new and was a gift from a dance-loving friend who has impeccable taste in tutus. She definitely knows what's what!

You guys know how much I love experimenting with different tutu styles and pairings, and today was all about embracing those creative vibes! I styled the classic romantic tutu with a chic sweater, leather jacket, and trendy platform boots. A splash of bright lipstick for a pop of colour, and, of course, some glamorous, glitter-heavy eye shadow – perfect for capturing those magical photos with the fall foliage! For the modern contemporary look, I went for a sleek tank top, leggings, and a pair of sparkly dance sneakers – comfort and style all in one!

Both tutus are so versatile. The possibilities for fun fashion combinations are truly endless! If you are thinking of exploring new dance styles and tutus, remember this: It's all about embracing self-expression and creativity. So step outside of your comfort zone! Mix and match, embrace new trends, and most importantly, have fun with it!

Speaking of having fun, this isn't just a regular Tutu Tuesday photoshoot. I made some amazing new friends in the Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud park, who totally rocked their own tutu interpretations - a testament to the wonderful dance community in this part of Quebec! We had such an awesome time playing with the tutus, giggling, and snapping pictures - these are the moments that truly embody what Tutu Tuesday is all about!

If you ever find yourself in the charming Saint-François-de-la-Rivière-du-Sud, be sure to stop by the local community center. They offer various dance classes and have an active dance community – a true gem hidden away in a tranquil part of Quebec.

Now, to wrap things up, let's spread some Tutu Tuesday cheer! I encourage you all to share your favourite tutu moments, what your go-to styles are, and why you love dance. You can post pics on social media using #tututuesday – let's celebrate the art of dance, beauty, and tulle all over the world!
