Tutu Tuesday in Cardwell, New Brunswick: A Tutu-tastic Time
Hey everyone! It's your girl, Claire from @ballet_love_nb, and I'm here to spill all the tea - or should I say, *tutu* tea - about Tutu Tuesday in Cardwell, New Brunswick!
This Tuesday was truly an event. I had the privilege of joining a group of passionate and fashionable ladies in a celebration of all things *tutu* – a tradition we're working to turn into a weekly occurrence!
I'm so stoked to share some photos and details. From classic romantic to modern interpretations, we had tutus of every shape and size, each with its own story. We gathered at the picturesque Cardwell park, a haven of greenery and fresh air. It was the perfect backdrop for our little tutu showcase.
Here’s a glimpse of what we saw and a bit of tutu-style inspiration for you!
- We had the romantic classics in full bloom. A classic tulle tutu, perfect for that fairytale ballet feel! I saw a few ladies rocking a graceful powder-pink number, evoking visions of Sleeping Beauty and Sugar Plum fairies. These were the traditional tutus we all grew up dreaming of.
- Then there were some contemporary takes on the traditional design, a nod to the evolution of ballet itself. We spotted some gorgeous creations featuring bold colours, intricate patterns, and a sprinkle of modern elegance – think an asymmetrical tutu that would have even the most hardcore minimalist dreaming.
- And of course, no Tutu Tuesday in Cardwell would be complete without a little dose of personality. A few ladies donned fun and playful designs. A couple even made their own! It’s inspiring to see how we’ve all managed to bring a piece of our own personal styles to the Tutu Tuesday concept.
But you know, this Tutu Tuesday was more than just pretty frocks. It was about embracing our inner ballerina, celebrating individuality, and spreading joy. We had a good old-fashioned photo shoot, laughter, and shared stories. I must confess, a little tutu twirling occurred, too!
This whole event truly highlighted something I’ve loved since childhood. In a world filled with the daily grind, these small moments – the sheer delight of a tutu, the expression in a dance move, the feeling of connection with fellow dancers - make all the difference. We showed Cardwell what true #tututuesday spirit looks like, and the #tututuesday trend is just getting started in New Brunswick,
