Tutu Tuesday in Rosser, Manitoba #tututuesday

Hey dance lovers! It’s your girl, Claire, back with another edition of Tutu Tuesday! Today, I’m channeling my inner ballerina and sharing some serious tutu inspiration with you all. Now, we all know Canada's got a rich ballet history. From the National Ballet of Canada to all the smaller studios across the country, dance is deeply rooted in our culture. So, what better way to celebrate than with a little tutu fun?

This week, I’m headed to the heartland of Manitoba, the lovely town of Rosser. If you’ve never been, Rosser is charming as can be with a real “small-town Canada” feel. I’m here to see a ballet performance by the local dance academy. These dancers are full of passion and talent and I'm seriously excited to see what they bring to the stage.

Speaking of ballet, I wanted to talk about the classic tutu styles for a bit. Did you know, tutu styles are more than just frills and fluff? They've got names, histories, and tons of symbolism in the world of ballet. * **The Romantic Tutu:** This beauty is all about lightness and airiness. It’s a short, single-layered tulle skirt that gives a dreamy, ethereal feel. * **The Classical Tutu:** Think big and puffy. These tutus are structured with multiple layers of tulle, designed to create a more dramatic, dramatic silhouette. Perfect for grand pas de deux and powerful moves! * **The Contemporary Tutu:** Less fluffy, more edgy! These tutus are typically shorter and more minimalist, designed for contemporary dance styles. This type lets dancers move freely and showcases athleticism. * **The Ballet Leotard and Tights Combo:** Can we ever forget about this iconic combination?! This classic look provides that streamlined, simple ballet feel. A total dance outfit classic!

And guess what?! In honor of #tututuesday, I'm having a little giveaway for you! For a chance to win a gorgeous new leotard (because, you know, gotta match the tutu!), just comment on this post telling me what your favorite style of tutu is! You guys know I love a good classic. For this occasion, I'm rocking a black classical tutu with a fitted red bodice. Just gorgeous!

This Tutu Tuesday, we're celebrating dance, we're celebrating Canada, and we’re definitely celebrating all things tutus! You guys are my biggest cheerleaders. Thank you for all the love and support, I wouldn't be able to dance with you if it wasn't for all of you. Keep your pointe shoes close, folks. There's a new tutu adventure around every corner!
