Tutu Tuesday in McAdam, New Brunswick: A Whirlwind of Frou-Frou Fun!

Hey there, fellow tutu enthusiasts! It's your girl, Émilie, and guess what? It's #tututuesday again! I'm living my best life in my little Canadian ballet haven and McAdam, New Brunswick is really where it's at.

Now, I know what you're thinking: "McAdam? Isn't that just a small town?" Well, yes, it is! But sometimes, the smallest places hold the biggest surprises. Let me tell you, this place has been surprising me ever since I moved here for my ballet training. The people are warm and welcoming (much like a warm cup of Tim Hortons coffee, don't you think? 😉).

And guess what? McAdam has embraced #tututuesday with open arms! I mean, what better way to show off a little bit of Canadian pride than to rock a tutu?

It was a sight to behold, stepping into the local coffee shop this morning. There was a guy wearing a classic romantic tutu, a couple of moms rocking those sweet pastel tutus with their little ones in tiny tulle versions, and even an adorable grandpa sporting a little bit of white tulle around his waist. So cute! It was clear that the #tututuesday spirit was alive and kicking.

We did a little Tutu Walkabout. You know me! I had to capture it all on Instagram and my blog for you guys. It was a gorgeous sunny day with the birds chirping away, and everyone looked so happy, their smiles brighter than the sun shining down. This small town is full of big hearts and a lot of love for a good tutu!

It gets me thinking, you know, it doesn't really matter if you live in Toronto or McAdam. The beauty of #tututuesday is that it brings people together from all over Canada. Whether you're a ballet professional, a hobby dancer or someone who simply loves the way a tutu makes you feel, #tututuesday gives you a reason to celebrate yourself and to celebrate the love of dance across Canada.

Let's talk about the styles of tutus! Now, you'll have to admit, there's a tutu out there for every taste and style. We had the classic romantic tutu going on today! Those long layers of tulle, you know? Flowy and ethereal, almost like you're floating on air.

We had those super cute pastel tutus that are perfect for those young ones just starting out their ballet journey (which is really important to support - we need more ballet in Canada!)

Now, there was this awesome guy I saw earlier who really surprised me! He wore a little bit of a “Bad Boy Ballet” look you know, with a leather jacket and a tight black tutu. He even had a bit of glitter, and I have to admit, it totally worked.

I was so inspired to see the different styles that people came out with for #tututuesday in McAdam! It really reminded me why I love the ballet community so much. It’s such a welcoming, open, and diverse community – so different from your typical "catty" fashion scene.

You know what's amazing about Canada? People have this open-mindedness, this sense of humor. We embrace our quirky side! It’s why McAdam and all of New Brunswick is a great place for a #tututuesday dance-off or Tutu Picnic in the park. Or both!

But let's get down to business. I mean, who can forget the most important element of any tutu: the sparkle! There was no shortage of glitter in McAdam today, which is just how we like it! Let’s get some sparkles on all our Canadian towns!

#tututuesday is about much more than just tutus. It's about self-expression. It’s about spreading a little bit of joy in a world that often feels a little too serious! And trust me, there's no better way to bring a smile to someone's face than with a tutu! I have to admit that McAdam is becoming my favorite place to find some real fun.

Well, guys, that’s it for now! Stay tuned for my next #tututuesday adventure. In the meantime, don't forget to grab your favorite tutu, give yourself a little twirl, and spread the love and joy all over Canada, and most especially in your own community.

Until next time, #tututuesday! I’m off to have some fun in McAdam, New Brunswick.
