Tutu Tuesday in St. Louis, Saskatchewan, Canada

#tututuesday

Hey there, fellow dance enthusiasts and tutu lovers! It's your girl, Claire, back with another #tututuesday post, and this time I'm taking my love of tutus all the way to the prairies, right here in St. Louis, Saskatchewan. I'm thrilled to be spreading the tutu love beyond the big city ballet studios and showcasing the power of dance in all its forms, even on a windy Saskatchewan day. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Now, you might be thinking, "Tutues in St. Louis? What could possibly be there?" Well, friends, there's a hidden world of dance magic happening here. Sure, we might not have the sprawling ballet companies you find in Toronto or Montreal, but what we do have is a passionate community of dancers of all ages and skill levels. And who says you need a grand stage to express your love for the art?

My quest for #tututuesday took me to the beautiful "Saskatchewan Dance Academy" where the atmosphere is buzzing with energy and dedication. Seeing those bright-eyed dancers, some barely taller than their tutus, reminds me of my own journey into the world of dance. The power of ballet, in all its forms, really does start with a single step and an endless passion. ๐Ÿ’–

Speaking of tutus, I was absolutely blown away by the diversity of styles here. We're talking classics like the romantic tutu, with its flowing layers of tulle, giving you that ethereal ballerina look. And, oh my goodness, I've got to shout out to the "Romantic" style. Picture a cloud of soft, flowing tulle, perfect for showcasing fluid movements and graceful extensions. Those swirls! ๐Ÿฅฐ

Then there were some seriously fun and unexpected ones โ€“ from sassy short tutus perfect for contemporary pieces that bring out those modern movements to the fun and whimsical styles. I loved seeing how each dancer chose a tutu to express their unique personality, their individual flair, and the spirit of the choreography. It really made me appreciate the beauty and flexibility of the tutu. ๐Ÿ˜

As I walked out of the studio, tutu-inspired, I couldn't help but feel a wave of pride wash over me. It's so cool to see dance communities thriving everywhere in Canada, even in small towns like St. Louis. These dancers aren't afraid to dream big and pursue their passion with open hearts and fierce determination, and it inspires me so much. So, here's to the power of dance, the joy of tutus, and the dedication of every dancer in every corner of Canada. We're more connected than you think! โค๏ธ

What are some of your favourite tutu styles? Tell me about them in the comments! I'd love to hear from you and keep the conversation going. ๐Ÿฉฐ

Until next time, keep dancing, and keep twirling! #tututuesday #StLouisSaskatchewan #canadianballet #balletlove
