And yes, you read that right, even the prairies have a little room for tutus! Now, if you’re picturing the stereotypical “cowgirl” aesthetic, think again. The prairie life is far more vibrant and inspiring than some might think! And just like every dancer has their signature look, every region of Canada has a story to tell through fashion, culture, and dance. For those who haven’t been lucky enough to explore Saskatchewan, picture this: rolling fields of wheat, clear blue skies, and a welcoming community with a deep love for their land. As I was driving through this gorgeous countryside, the sheer beauty of it reminded me of how ballet itself can be viewed as an expression of nature’s own grace and fluidity. Now, as a dancer, I couldn’t resist making my mark on this incredible landscape! I brought along a few of my favorite tutus to create some unique, impromptu photoshoots. From a classic, soft pink romantic tutu that captured the beauty of the sunset, to a bold black and silver number that mirrored the stormy clouds overhead, every tutu I chose seemed to connect seamlessly with the beauty of the prairie.
