Tutu Tuesday in Boston: A Whirlwind of Tutus, Tea, and Tradition Hello my darlings, As you know, Tutu Tuesday is my absolute favourite day of the week. It's a day where we, the ballet faithful, get to indulge in our passion, swap tips and gossip, and admire all the amazing tutu styles strutting the streets. This week I headed to Boston, the cultural gem of the North-East, to see what Tutu Tuesday had to offer. Let's start with the *crème de la crème* of tutu styles. It was like a kaleidoscope of colour and design. From the classically elegant **romantic tutu**, with its tiers of soft tulle and delicate floral embellishments, to the more modern and minimalist **contemporary tutu** crafted in sleek, almost architectural shapes, there was something for every taste. Speaking of *modern* – there was a surprising number of women rocking the **punk tutu** look. This was all about edgy layering with multiple tutus, ripped fishnets, and lots of metallic details – it was as thrilling as it was dramatic. Another standout trend was the **boho tutu**, featuring floaty, billowing skirts in natural fabrics and earth tones – all topped with flowing, ethnic inspired blouses, perfect for a chilled vibe. However, it wasn't just the *look* of the tutus that caught my eye, it was the spirit that the women were bringing to them. These women were expressing themselves through their attire with the utmost confidence. Here are a few of the many stylish *tutu warriors* who graced the Boston streets: * The Classic Ballerina:* Graceful in a pristine **white tutu** adorned with simple sequins. She had her hair pulled back in a chic bun and a rosy complexion. You could tell she was living for that *classic* look. * The City Chic:** Looking effortlessly cool in a **black tutu**, worn with a leather biker jacket and a pair of statement boots. She nailed that city edge look - edgy and effortless. * The Edgy Rock Star:** An explosion of creativity in a multicoloured **layered tutu** paired with ripped denim shorts and a statement t-shirt emblazoned with a rebellious quote. This tutu queen embraced colour and didn’t shy away from going bold with her look. * The Bohemian Princess:* Her ethereal beauty was magnified in a billowing **pale lavender tutu** with a delicate flower crown adorning her locks. Her natural vibe spoke volumes for the carefree style. These women were all embracing their inner ballerinas, their confidence shining brighter than the sequins on their tutus. To make this Tutu Tuesday experience even more delightful, I had a delightful teatime at **The Ritz-Carlton** – where the tutus fit seamlessly into the chic yet classic setting of the opulent surroundings. This historic hotel is known for its afternoon tea service, and what better way to complement the day than with a delicate, finger-sandwiches and delicious petit fours. As I sat with a warm cup of tea, soaking up the grandeur, I couldn’t help but think that Tutu Tuesday is much more than just a fun trend. It’s about a sense of community and celebrating your individual style. Whether it's a full-on **romantic tutu** with matching gloves, a **classic white tutu** styled casually or a **contemporary tutu** layered with a contemporary street wear vibe, every Tutu Tuesday brings women together in a shared love for dancing and all things elegant, whimsical and *very* fabulous!
