This town has got an amazing thing going – there’s a lot of love for tutus here. Today was an absolute celebration of everything tulle and I can't wait to share all the highlights with you!
Tutu Twirls and Coffee Mornings It all started with the **‘Tutu Tuesdays for Tea'** event at **The Ballerina's Bakehouse**. It was a complete tutu paradise! There was a charming selection of homemade pastries and treats, and of course, a table filled with **‘Tutu-themed Teacups and Treats’** for our tea-loving guests. We chatted about everything tutu-related, from the classics like **Romantic tutus** and **classical tutus** to the more whimsical designs - some tutus are all frills and tiers, perfect for the most beautiful of ballerina spins. Other designs were surprisingly sleek and contemporary. We even discussed how to style our tutus for casual days, which got me really thinking!
A Whirlwind of Tutus in the High Street Following the lovely bakehouse gathering, I decided to take a stroll down Ellesmere Port's High Street. And wouldn't you know it, almost every store was in on the **#tututuesday** fun! There were tutus adorning mannequins and window displays in just about every shop you could imagine. We even saw some shops, like the **‘Sweet Indulgence’** bakery, sporting **‘Tutu-Inspired Treats'**. These tutus were amazing and beautifully baked! I just had to snap a photo - imagine: chocolate fudge tutus topped with white buttercream, or classic lemon drizzle cake tutus with buttercream swirls – these delightful delights had me reaching for my phone! I couldn't resist the photo op so I got permission from the manager, grabbed my camera, and snapped a picture for my followers on Instagram and Twitter!
An Unexpected Tutus-and-Art Event But the biggest surprise was waiting at the end of the High Street. A small local art studio, called **'The Colourful Canvas'**, was holding a special **‘Tutus on Canvas'** art workshop. As soon as I peeked through the window, I knew this was my destiny for the rest of the afternoon! The walls were covered in abstract artwork featuring tutu-inspired motifs - imagine that: vibrant pink and white, swirling colours evoking movement! I was transfixed. They had this stunning display of tutus hanging up, some of which were painted on fabric! It was mesmerizing! This group of talented artists were absolutely mesmerized by tutus, as much as I was! What was great about the afternoon is that it inspired many of the attendees to use tutu designs and ideas in their art - what a beautiful artistic statement, and it's amazing what you can discover in a small town like Ellesmere Port! My friends were delighted to join in with all of the day’s festivities - from taking pictures with the tutu-clad window displays in the town centre to sharing the experience on social media, and joining me in my love for tutus! They know how much I love them, how I get into them - it’s just a passion of mine!
Ellesmere Port’s #tututuesday was everything and more - I was completely inspired by this event. The fact that so many people took part in #tututuesday and showed a community appreciation of the humble tutu brought so much happiness and inspiration.
