This year, #Tutuesday in Hitchin was absolutely bursting with colour, energy, and more tulle than you could shake a stick at. Think every style imaginable: the classic romantic, the quirky avant-garde, and everything in between! You name it, I saw it on #Tutuesday: The romantic tutus with cascading ruffles and intricate embroideries, the shorter tutus with sassy asymmetric layers, and those playful tutus, complete with rainbow hues and daringly cut silhouettes. I'm talking everything from the iconic traditional white pointe shoe tutus, the billowing romantic ones, to the bold and modern abstract creations that broke all the rules. Honestly, it was tutu overload, in the best possible way.
We hit up the town centre bright and early on Tuesday morning, ready to soak up the fun, the fashion, and of course, all the fabulous tutus! The street was bustling with Tutu Tuesday participants and a lively mix of enthusiastic bystanders who had joined the party for the sheer joy of it!
