Tutu Tuesday in Warrington

It's #TutuTuesday and I'm living my best life! Not only did I rock a dreamy tutu to class this morning (the colour of blush with a hint of champagne, and believe me, it turned heads!), but Warrington is turning into a tutu-lover's haven. Honestly, who needs London? It's practically "Tutuland" on a Tuesday, you guys!

And here's the reason why: for the past few weeks, Warrington's local dance community has been buzzing about a delightful movement that's sparked across the UK and beyond. Every Tuesday, folks are encouraged to strut their stuff in tutus, whether it's at the ballet barre, in the streets, or even while sipping coffee in the café – you do you, darling!

So, what exactly are we doing on #TutuTuesday? The rules? They're gloriously nonexistent. We're dancing with our inner ballerinas, whether they're prima donnas or those who can barely do a plié. It's about celebrating movement, laughter, and the beauty of dance in all its forms.

This week, my #tututuesday adventure began with a trip to The Dance Studio Warrington, my local haunt where the magic happens. We were a veritable "Tutu Tribe," decked out in every colour under the sun. From the classic tulle creations in pink, white, and black – so chic, so elegant – to the ones that embraced vibrant pops of purple and even the bolder, geometric styles with those statement stripes, it was an absolute riot of dancewear. There was even a little girl with a neon pink tutu who just stole my heart, spinning with the exuberance of a budding dancer!

After class, we took our celebration to Warrington's new café scene. Let's just say that our tulle skirts made their presence felt! The barista looked a little startled at first, but once we were all giggling with glee over a delicious cuppa, it was all good. And to be honest, who could resist the sight of a tutu-clad dance crew – a whirlwind of colourful joy!

Honestly, folks, you wouldn't believe the difference that #TutuTuesday has brought to our town! People are stopping in the street to compliment each other. There's a sense of playful community and camaraderie. Even the grumpy old man who usually sits by himself in the café was beaming with amusement, I swear. He even gave my tutu a thumbs up!

So, here's my advice if you're thinking of hopping onto the #TutuTuesday train:

  • Embrace your inner ballerina! Even if you can't do a grand jeté, you'll feel the confidence boost from rocking a tutu, trust me.
  • Think beyond the traditional tutu. A classic white is fabulous, but you can absolutely embrace the flamboyant and colorful – a burst of floral designs, neon hues, a sassy mini skirt that gives you those fierce vibes – have some fun with it!
  • Take the #TutuTuesday experience beyond dance class. Pop down to your local café or park and spread the cheer!
  • Be bold! You'll be surprised by the reactions. I guarantee you'll make someone's day.

Honestly, I’m already excited about next Tuesday’s #tututuesday, and you should be too! Grab your tutu, find your inner dancer, and get ready for some fun, because Warrington, it’s about to get even more delightful! #tututuesday #Warrington
