This week, we're diving headfirst into the glittery, twirly wonderland that is #Tututuesday, Manchester style. Forget your dreary Monday blues - Tuesdays are for sparkle, twirls, and a dash of magical enchantment! And what's more enchanting than a tutu? The answer is simple: a unicorn tutu. Oh yes, the humble tutu has truly reached peak fabulousness, transforming from the classic ballet staple to a full-blown fashion statement. And who better to lead this sparkly charge than Manchester, the city that embraces all things fun and fabulous? This past Tuesday, Manchester city centre was awash with a sea of pink, purple, and iridescent tutus, each more stunning than the last. Let's take a tour, shall we? A Spectrum of Sparkle: From Classic to Confetti • The Ballerina Classic: A timeless look that never goes out of style. This is your basic, beautiful, tulle-on-tulle affair. A classic tutus, but for Tutu Tuesday we had the option of layering some tulle or ribbons on top for extra sparkle! It's like wearing a fluffy, swirly cloud that can transport you straight to a sugar plum dreamland. And that's before the optional sparkly top! My favourite ballerinas were the classic tulle, just slightly longer than standard and then accessorized with bright colours in the ribbons or bows attached to the waist. So, just an added dash of sass. • The Confetti Explosion: For the truly daring tutu lover who's not afraid to make a statement, there's the confetti tutu. Picture layers and layers of tulle bursting with colour and a sprinkle of glitter. The best of the Confetti Explosion, was this shimmering, rainbow of a tutu that one fearless ballerina even added a sequinned top to match the colours in the tutu. Talk about making an entrance! This particular tutu looked amazing as it flowed out with each movement of the body. The more she twirled, the more magical the tutu looked! The perfect blend of fierce and fun, this one's for the queen of the dance floor. • The Unicorn Dreamscape: What's a Tutu Tuesday in Manchester without a touch of mythical magic? Enter the unicorn tutu, a whimsical masterpiece crafted with rainbows and sparkles galore. My absolute favourite was a simple pink and white tutu, topped with a rainbow ribbon attached at the waist. It looked as though this ballerina had walked straight out of a fairy tale. There was a gorgeous iridescent glitter that ran through the pink tulle - I couldn't resist, so had to have a closer look and a selfie with this fashionista. She was a beautiful vision of pink! And, let's not forget the majestic unicorn horn headband! These sparkly, bejeweled horns were like icing on the unicorn-tutu cake, and they perfectly finished the look. I just wished that my hair had been styled with more than a bun when I saw this dazzling, and totally on point unicorn themed outfit. I'm going for a mermaid inspired braid next Tuesday, think it might look just as great. If you’re a fan of pastels and dreams then the unicorn tutu was the one to watch! There was so much laughing and twirling, everyone was completely and utterly in love with what we were doing and who we were! It was a joy to see these ballerinas and those wanting to have a go. The dance floor was an amazing melting pot. It reminds you that it's okay to twirl, to jump, to celebrate every little victory, no matter how big or small.
