Maidstone: Tutu Tuesday Sparkle and Unicorns 🦄 #tututuesday Oh, Maidstone, you know I love you. And you know I love my tutus, my glitter, my disco balls, my rainbows, and my sparkly unicorns! Today was truly the perfect Tutu Tuesday – it just *sparkled*, like the tiny crystals on my brand new rainbow-sequin tutu (don't you just love those rainbow sequined ones?! They just *cry out* "Twirl with joy, girly!")! It all started with a flash of inspiration. My *favourite* pink disco ball in my dressing room just seemed to call to me - its mirror facets seemed to wink and say, "Put on that rainbow-tutu, darling, and go dazzle the town!" Okay, I admit it, I was feeling a bit blah this morning, but the *power* of a good twirl can fix everything! And when that twirl happens in a fabulous rainbow tutu, the good vibes practically vibrate out of you. It’s almost like the universe responds, "Okay, girlie, you want sparkly fun, I'll give you sparkly fun! You'll be a sparkly supernova, honey!" *I know what you’re thinking - 'A sparkly supernova?!'* Yes, because this tutu, my darlings, it's a power move! This isn’t your everyday tutu. I call it the 'Unicorn Whisperer,' because it’s got that mystical magic about it! You can’t wear it without channeling some of that ethereal unicorn energy! The flowing tulle? So dreamy. Those silver sequins catching the sunlight? Magical. But it’s not just the look, the *feel* of the fabric is just so ethereal and whimsical, you just want to twirl like a rainbow princess, a ballerina on clouds. *Swoon*. Anyway, I decided that the perfect way to launch myself into the glorious, sparkly, twirly joy of my rainbow-tutu day, would be to visit the Maidstone Museum. You know, I never think of museums as particularly 'tutu friendly', but this time, oh, the museum gods were clearly smiling down on me! The galleries were positively gleaming. (Honestly, they should really rename it Maidstone Museum of Sparkling Majesty). There was an exhibition on Victorian fashion that had me literally 'oo-ing' and 'ah-ing', at the incredible detail, the sheer beauty of the pieces – it's amazing what you find if you stop, breathe, and just *look* around. It turns out the Victorians knew how to sparkle, too, you know. It was almost as though the designers had taken inspiration from unicorns, they used sequins, beads, ribbons, feathers - the Victorian imagination was definitely fueled by fairy dust! You just can’t wear that stuff without feeling like a fairy princess yourself! I think maybe they were onto something, don't you?! How about these Victorian fascinators, like sparkly fairy-dust rainbows! But I just knew I had to twirl in my tutu and unleash some real 'unicorn power'. The good vibes were flowing – the Museum staff was lovely, they totally got it. They must’ve seen the glint of glitter in my eyes – it's all about sending out the 'sparkle power' signal! Maybe the unicorn energy in my rainbow-tutu even rubbed off on them a little. Anyway, it was a total hit! You really must do what I did, girls! Next time you're in Maidstone, slip on your fanciest tutu, head on over to the museum (with a big smile!), and enjoy the *joy of a magical, sparkly twirl.* Speaking of sparkly twirls… A quick style tip, ladies! This tutu calls for serious 'big hair' and sparkling accessories! My pink headband was a must – and oh yes, don’t forget the fairy-like shimmery pink makeup! Pink eyelids and mascara just adds that extra, magical sparkle, just like a mermaid emerging from the depths of the sea... This Tutu Tuesday was a total success! As always, #tututuesday, for the love of sequins, twirls and the joy of rainbows! 💕🦄🌈🎉
