Tutu Tuesday in Lancaster: A Unicorn Dream Come True #tututuesday
Hey lovelies! It’s your girl, Tilly, here, back with another dazzling installment of my adventures in the land of tutus! Today’s topic? **Tutu Tuesday in Lancaster.** I mean, come on, can it get any more magical? Let me tell you, it did. So grab your glitter, put on your fanciest frock, and join me on this whirlwind of tutu-licious delight.
Let's be real, Lancaster is normally pretty quaint. Charming cobblestone streets, a bustling market, a smattering of independent shops. Cute, but definitely lacking a certain... sparkle. But not on Tuesdays! On Tuesdays, Lancaster transforms into a vibrant rainbow of tulle, feather boas, and enough glitter to blind a dragon! This is all thanks to the **#tututuesday** movement! Picture this: a gaggle of us, tutu-clad and beaming like the sun, taking over the town square. There we were, flaunting our **powder-puff tutus, dreamy tulle tutus, and even a couple of sassy sequined numbers.** Imagine, if you will, a field of sugar-plum-coloured fabric swaying to the rhythm of the local band playing classic disco hits. And did I mention the **unicorns?** Well, actually, you know how I just love a good **unicorn themed outfit?** Of course I did! My **tutu** was **snow white, with pink and purple sequined swirls**, with a unicorn headpiece that looked good enough to eat (sorry, the **sparkly horn** was just too tempting). I was practically levitating from pure joy! Let’s just say, a bunch of twirling ladies with unicorns on their heads ain't a sight you see every day, so naturally, we attracted quite a crowd. The **#tututuesday** event started in the market, and let me tell you, these folks were all for it! They even joined in on the fun, some with feather boas, others wearing makeshift tutus made from tea towels - that's what I love about #tututuesday - it’s inclusive, it's quirky, it's utterly glorious. And everyone, from grandmas to toddlers, was caught in the joyful spin. It was utter bliss, a shimmering haven of giggles and disco grooves. **So what exactly went down on this amazing day? ** Here's the rundown of our fabulously fun Tutu Tuesday activities:
* Market madness: As I mentioned, the **market stall holders embraced the tutu love with open arms.** Everyone was offering unicorn-themed treats and even **glitter tattoos** ( I couldn't resist getting a little star!). We even found a lovely stall with handmade, personalised tutus and feather boas in every colour under the rainbow. It was practically a unicorn-themed, tutued up fair. * Dancing in the street: The heart of **#tututuesday** has to be the impromptu dancing in the town square. It was such a lovely feeling to see everyone joining in. Some people were hesitant at first, clutching their coffee mugs and eyeing us suspiciously. But then the music started, the sun hit just right, and *boom*! We had ourselves a full-blown street dance-off! From youngsters who wouldn't stop spinning to dads getting a bit of air guitar action - everyone embraced their inner child. It's incredible to think a bit of tulle and a lot of glitter could create such a magical vibe. * Tutu fashion parade: You guys know how much I love to **showcase different tutu styles**, right? I knew that #tututuesday needed a touch of extra glam. We even had a fun **tutu fashion parade**. There was **vintage tutus,** with an **added disco ball theme,** (oh the sparkle!) as well as the usual **layered and romantic tulle tutus**. But what really took the cake was a sassy **sparkly mini-tutu,** complete with matching gloves - that's some serious dancewear right there. And don’t forget the feathered headpieces! They were almost as dramatic as my unicorn horn. The judges? The delighted audience!
To say the day was a success is an understatement. Lancaster was ablaze with **sparkles and laughter**; the air hummed with good vibes. And let’s be honest, you can't help but be charmed by the magic of the tutus. Honestly, **#tututuesday** is a celebration of pure joy, a day where it's okay to be silly, to express yourself through twirling and glittering, and to embrace a touch of magic, especially if it comes with a sparkly unicorn horn.
Until next time, my darlings. Don't forget to twirl and sparkle.
