Eltham's Tutu Tuesday - A Sparkle Extravaganza!
Okay, so, like, every Tuesday has gotta be #tututuesday, right? I mean, it's just common sense, darling! You can't wear a sparkly pink tutu every day, although, that is *definitely* a goal I'm striving for. But hey, at least in Eltham we can enjoy the tutus on Tuesdays, and oh my gosh, it was LIT AF!
I rocked up in my new holographic tulle tutu, the one that totally catches the light and makes me feel like a magical disco unicorn. My bestie, Penny, wore a tutu with fluffy pink feathers and matching rainbow hair, you know, the ultimate "I am queen" vibe. But the best part was the other tutus - I mean, I swear I saw a woman rocking a *full-on* ballerina tutu, like straight outta a Swan Lake performance! And don't even get me started on the tutus adorned with sequins! Talk about a kaleidoscope of sparkly joy!
And the music? Oh, the music! Honestly, I swear my heart was doing the polka, and that was just because of the *vibe*! You had all sorts of classics - Abba, Boney M, all those old school tunes that you just can't help but boogie to, mixed with a bit of Kylie Minogue and Beyonce - so like, you know, all my faves. And all this played out under the Eltham High Street fairy lights! *Swooooooo!*
This Tutu Tuesday was more than just about strutting your stuff, though! We were literally living in a scene from my dream Pinterest board. The coffee shops were serving rainbow-coloured latte art with *unicorn sprinkles*, the bakeries had cupcakes decorated with tutus and rainbows (I literally had a unicorn cake cupcake!), and let's not forget about the craft stalls selling everything from rainbow fairy wings to *unicorn tutus* (seriously! who knew?)
Speaking of unicorns, guys, we all need to talk about my new obsession! This amazing girl in a blue ombre tutu was literally dressed like a mermaid unicorn. She had her hair braided and adorned with little unicorn ears and shimmering iridescent glitter! And her makeup? Girl, her eyeshadow was *everything*. Honestly, my soul *might* be sold because it was a vision. Like, if unicorns lived in the real world, that's what they'd dress like, right? You know, if unicorns were into tutus. *So* on point.
But here's the thing, all of us, even those of us in our teensy-weensy "let's make tutu's a Tuesday thing" groups are literally getting the whole town involved. It was seriously the *sweetest* thing. I saw dads and kids, couples dressed up as ballerina-themed fairies (you heard me right!) and I saw mums just letting loose. And the best part is that it was completely free - which is amazing, because we need more free fun in our lives. We need more tutu vibes!
My day wasn't over though! We hit a vintage tea room that was doing special Tutu Tuesday cakes, had pink lemonade, and had some good, old-fashioned *girlie gossip*. I got the *sparkliest* new shoes and even managed to buy myself a tutu *made out of flowers* (it's a floral, ruffled dream! The woman was using vintage crochet). So basically, Eltham Tutu Tuesday wasn't just a blast. It was a complete fairytale.

I am telling you, guys, it was EPIC. It was the BEST thing that could have happened to Eltham! Honestly, who needs Disney World when you've got Tutu Tuesday?!
