Tutu Tuesday in Morden: A Day for Dancing and Sparkle
It’s Tuesday, which means only one thing: it's #tututuesday, darlings! I woke up this morning feeling extra sparkly, like a unicorn that just ate a rainbow (which, I’m sure, would be a magical and delicious experience, don't you think?). So, naturally, I decided to celebrate by doing what any sensible, tutu-loving, disco-dancing fashionista would do: I donned my most fabulous tutu and headed out into the world to spread a little bit of sparkle! And, oh my god, it’s been a day for the books!

This week's tutu is something truly special. It's a hot pink, feathered, and glittered masterpiece with a delicate, ruffled design around the hips, giving me some major romantic ballerina vibes – if ballerinas wore disco-worthy outfits. It’s a delicate and sophisticated tutu that I absolutely love and it felt even more appropriate for a day of exploring Morden! This little gem is perfect for both the casual ballet fan, the whimsical dreamer, and anyone with an inner glitter bug yearning to break out. (That would be me!) It even matches my favourite unicorn keychain! Talk about synchronicity!
Morden, darling! Who would have thought a little town in southwest London would be such a magical spot for Tutu Tuesday adventures? This little town holds so much history, and it seemed appropriate to dress like a sparkly ballerina to show some appreciation to the lovely town!
I started the day by heading to the Morden Tube station, naturally rocking my best dance moves while navigating my way through the crowds and getting stares. Oh, the stares were delightful. Then it was on to Morden’s oldest bookshop. Where else can you expect to be serenaded by a busker dressed in an extraordinary suit of silver lamé? Apparently, Morden is full of extraordinary folk!
I felt so comfortable twirling about, the people in Morden are absolutely amazing! Morden has so many fantastic cafes with such charming Victorian facades. Every building seems like it is dripping in history. Imagine how many tutu-tastic dances have taken place over the decades! We must hold on to this tradition. And of course, after all the dancing and admiring beautiful architecture, I couldn't leave without indulging in some delicious scones and a cuppa with a rainbow sprinkle. (I had to finish off with some extra pink sprinkles, as a little tribute to my favourite tutu).
You know, there's something undeniably powerful about dancing around in a tutu, and there's nothing better than to do it on Tutu Tuesday. Especially in Morden. It really made me feel like I was starring in a fantastical ballet! I think it’s a movement everyone should try. Every town needs some sparkle. Maybe it should be the new fashion trend – #TownSparkle? But back to the main topic: The whole experience reminded me just how wonderful and unique life can be!
