Tutu Tuesday in Cleethorpes: A Fairy-Tale Adventure in a Glittery Tutu
Hey darlings, it’s your girl, Ballerina Bliss, and I’m about to share a totally fabulous tale about a day filled with tutus, glitter, and unicorn dreams. This past Tuesday, Cleethorpes became the ultimate destination for every ballerina and sparkly unicorn fan – because it was Tutu Tuesday, baby!
Picture this: the bright, bubbly sunshine hitting the promenade just right, making the candy-coloured houses sparkle like a sugar-coated gingerbread village. Now, imagine this scene adorned with ladies twirling in tutus, their colourful, feathery concoctions billowing in the gentle breeze, the most delightful explosion of tulle and sparkles this side of the River Humber! This was not just any Tuesday in Cleethorpes – this was Tutu Tuesday!
There I was, feeling like a real-life ballerina straight out of a classic ballet – minus the fancy footwear, but I was definitely rocking some sparkly ballet pumps! As I stepped out into the dazzling daylight, I saw the most adorable, shimmering tutus. I’m talking frills, layers upon layers of glittery goodness. I saw every imaginable style from classic ballet tutu, elegant tutus with sparkling lace, romantic fluffy ones with bows, sassy ruffled tutus with sequins that sparkled under the summer sun – a tutu dream come true! And yes, a unicorn tutu was a definite sight – the perfect blend of pastel rainbows, and fluffy magic – it was a Tutu Tuesday unicorn moment for sure!
It’s one thing to see beautiful tutus, but when they come alive with dance and laughter – well, that’s magic, honey. The atmosphere was electric, charged with excitement, laughter, and the undeniable magic of twirling in a tutu! Even the seagulls were enchanted! Every so often a particularly brave one would soar above, flapping its wings in what seemed to be a delighted ‘hooray’ to the dazzling display!
The fun didn’t end there, darling! As the sun was setting, bathing the beach in a warm glow, we had a magnificent flash mob ballet. I was surrounded by like-minded tutus wearing gals and gents who, let’s be honest, were way more graceful than this awkward but happy bunny. The ballet to disco beats, the giggles, and the total carefree fun. The beach became our stage! You really felt like you could do anything with that shimmering sparkle flowing in the salty air.
