Darlaston: Tutu Tuesday Takes Over The Town!
Darlaston, you're looking *fierce* this Tuesday! It's Tutu Tuesday, and you wouldn't know it with the number of tulle and sequins shimmering around town. Seriously, you could practically trip over a **pink ombre** tutu every other step, and let's not forget about the **fluffy, full-skirted tutus** and the **single-layered tutu’s** in gorgeous shades of pink, magenta and even lilac!
As a ballet dancer, I have to say, I *love* a good Tutu Tuesday. This is not your everyday day to day stuff. No sir. This is a day where *everyone* can let their inner prima ballerina shine - because we all know we have one inside! 😉
So, Darlaston has decided that this is their chosen day for all the tutus! I must say, you're *all* doing a fabulous job! This town has always had its unique charm, and the *fabulous* displays of tutu-wearing today truly elevate that. There is *so much* going on! Honestly, my *inner diva* is dancing on air just writing about it! It is pure #tututuesday glory!
It's definitely not just the humans getting involved in Tutu Tuesday! You know what they say, "where there's a Tutu, a Unicorn is sure to be found!" Indeed. Right there beside the locals twirling around, the Unicorn community has taken it to the next level with a show of dazzling iridescent colors - just pure *unicorn magic*. Some are even sporting rainbow glitter-dusted wings and horn bands for added glitz. They just look so fabulous in those pink tulle-based tutus. Just *magical*.
Honestly, there’s *nothing* quite like seeing the entire community embrace the wonder of Tutu Tuesday - from the smallest humans dressed like tiny sugar plum fairies to the big-hearted grandparents with their tutus in soft pastel tones.
Where do I even *begin* to describe the amazingness of Tutu Tuesday? How about I just tell you my favourite sights so far, then let you fill in the gaps of this magical Tuesday yourselves...
- At the bakery on *High Street*, there’s a shop window full of rainbow sprinkles with pink, purple and iridescent frosting – it’s a unicorn's dream!
- The *Darlaston market* has never looked better – with everyone from the fishmongers to the florist sporting some sort of tutus.
- Over on the corner of *Northgate*, the children have started a spontaneous ballet class – one tutu-wearing tot is even doing a grand jete. Talk about an inspiring day!
- You've got local DJ Barry B, spinning disco tunes - his choice, "Disco Inferno" by The Trammps, has me truly in my element, because well... I am a dancing queen and it is a fab disco beat - just *magic* for a *fab* Tuesday.
This Tutu Tuesday has the power to unite a community, and with that being said, it's also given everyone the opportunity to give a shoutout for "Make A Wish". Every shop in town is offering to donate a proportion of their day's earnings to support the cause. That's the *magic* of a tutu, it’s more than just sparkly tulle! It’s a symbol of magic and optimism, reminding everyone that you *can* do anything when you have that magic belief and put on a tutu with a smile on your face!
