Pink Tutu Vienna: A Waltz Through Time - Post 333
Dearest Tutu-lovers,
It’s Wednesday, the day of the week when we waltz into the wonderful world of Pink Tutu Vienna! This week, I’m writing to you from a gloriously sunny Vienna, where the scent of coffee and pastries hangs heavy in the air, and the sound of music wafts through the cobbled streets.
I arrived in the Austrian capital just yesterday, after a rather magical train journey through the Bavarian countryside. The carriage I was on had beautiful views of rolling hills and ancient castles, and the clatter of the wheels on the tracks was like a delightful rhythmic beat. I even found a spot in a small cafe just inside the train station that sold pink lemonade, my absolute favourite!
Tutus & Travel: A Perfect Pair
Vienna is a city steeped in history, art, and, of course, ballet! As you know, a good Tutu-wearing adventurer like myself needs to immerse herself in all the beautiful history of this art form. Did you know Vienna was home to the famed Austrian Ballet, which is said to have produced some of the world's finest dancers? It’s true! It's no surprise then that ballet holds such a special place in the city’s heart.
Vienna, you see, is just overflowing with majestic palaces, opera houses, and dance studios. Just this morning, I wandered through the grand halls of the Vienna State Opera, marveling at the gilded chandeliers and the opulence of the setting. My imagination raced, picturing ballerinas twirling across the stage in beautiful pink tutus - an image I'm desperate to make a reality!
A Ballerina's Shopping Paradise
Of course, a trip to Vienna is not complete without a little shopping. This city has such an abundance of stylish boutiques and independent shops, brimming with beautiful clothing and accessories. Today I found myself wandering through a delightful vintage shop overflowing with the most charming dresses and hats, many with feathers and intricate lace. My tutu-wearing heart nearly skipped a beat! I imagine some of these beauties were worn to the opera house decades ago!
For this evening, I have plans to explore a more modern side of Vienna. I’m heading to a local street theatre where a talented group of street dancers are putting on a performance. From what I hear, there are even a few young girls, dressed in sparkling tutus, performing ballet routines, so I'm absolutely excited to join in the audience!
Sharing My Pink Tutu Love
Speaking of tutus, it wouldn’t be a Pink Tutu Vienna post without sharing a little inspiration! I am so committed to spreading the love of pink tutus - a dream that continues to inspire me on every adventure! In fact, I have a little challenge for all you wonderful readers: try wearing a pink tutu this weekend!
It could be at a picnic, at a concert, even in the grocery store! Don't be afraid to express yourself and have some fun with fashion. After all, why not add a splash of colour and whimsy to your everyday life?
Stay tuned for more adventures next week. In the meantime, may your days be filled with twirling, glitter, and a whole lot of pink!
Sending you love and pirouettes from Vienna,
Emma, The Pink Tutu Blogger

P.S. Today is the 19th September, which is an exciting day in the world of ballet: It’s the anniversary of the first professional ballet school ever established! The first Royal Academy of Dance, was founded in 1771, by a certain Monsieur Noverre. He certainly started a dance trend, and it has kept going strong ever since, and has taken me all over the world - all thanks to pink tutus.
