Pink Tutu Vienna: Post #532 โ€“ A Waltz through Vienna! ๐Ÿฉฐโœจ

Hello darlings! Itโ€™s Wednesday, and you know what that meansโ€ฆ another Pink Tutu Vienna blog post, straight from the heart of this magical city! ๐Ÿ’–

This week has been a whirlwind of pink and pirouettes! Vienna truly is a city where elegance and beauty bloom like a rose in the sunshine. My arrival was, naturally, a bit of a spectacle โ€“ all aboard the Orient Express in my favourite baby pink tulle, my fluffy skirt swaying to the rhythm of the train tracks! (It's amazing how many people still say hello and smile when I wear my tutus!).

Oh, how I love the grand, romantic stations here, full of intricate architecture and those charming old clocks with their ticking pendulums. And don't even get me started on the station buffets, those little cafes bursting with pastries and coffee, and Viennaโ€™s famous Sachertorte - all so good!

Ballet & Beyond ๐Ÿฉฐ

The real draw, however, is the ballet scene, and Vienna certainly delivers! Last night, I had the pleasure of seeing "The Sleeping Beauty" at the Vienna State Opera โ€“ oh, the beauty! Every set and costume was exquisitely detailed, and the dancers floated with an effortless grace. I even had a little moment of inspiration backstage, sketching a couple of tutu ideas for my next performance. The pink one I wore in the first act was pure magic, with these incredible swirly ruffles at the bottom, oh so dreamy! It really reminded me of a big pink cupcake. ๐Ÿ˜Š

After the performance, I felt a surge of energy, and so I joined the crowds in the glorious โ€œMuseumsQuartierโ€ area โ€“ a modern complex of museums and galleries, full of buzzing cafes and trendy restaurants. It felt like everyone in Vienna was there, sharing a little slice of the city's unique vibe!

Vienna Waltz & A Spot of Shopping

Naturally, no trip to Vienna is complete without experiencing a real Viennese Waltz! So I donned a fresh pink tutu (today's choice: a fluffy and light "Parisian Bloom", so easy to twirl in) and found myself at one of the many open-air concerts by the river Danube, surrounded by the lively, almost magical energy of Viennese waltzing. Oh, the elegance! And, of course, my favourite local pastry was available โ€“ delicious apricot dumplings.

This city has the best shops for a ballet-loving girl like me! I discovered a tiny antique shop with the most incredible old ballet shoes โ€“ imagine, velvet ribbons and pointe shoes that were worn in the 1920s! Now, those would have been spectacular to dance in.

My shopping bag is full of Parisian-inspired pieces - gorgeous ruched tulle scarves, a beautiful little pink beret with a delicate rose, and a brand new satin dance bag (so important for a ballerinas essential!). The lady in the shop complimented my new beret, and said I looked like I was on my way to a vintage tea party - I have to say I really enjoyed that thought.

The Pink Tutu Travels ๐Ÿš‚๐Ÿ’–

And speaking of travel, this is where Vienna shines truly bright. I absolutely adore hopping onto a train with a new outfit and a big pink fluffy skirt! For my next stop, I'm planning on taking a scenic trip along the Danube. The landscape here is truly breathtaking, and a trip by train is the perfect opportunity to watch the world go by, perhaps even inspire another pink tutu masterpiece. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh, but that reminds me โ€“ did I tell you about the amazing horse-drawn carriage I took through the city? A fairytale! Picture cobblestone streets, gentle clopping hooves, and the golden glow of the setting sun. I imagined myself in a fairytale as I passed the impressive Schonbrunn Palace, just a whimsical scene straight from a dream!

Pink Tutu Dreams in the City of Dreams

Vienna is really captivating - all those beautiful museums and historic buildings, the lush green gardens, and the grand squares! Everywhere I turn there's something lovely to see and explore. I know many of you are wondering if I will have a ballet show during this trip, and I am planning on it! I am always looking for new venues - perhaps a palace, or an outdoor park, something magical!

As I'm signing off for this week, I'm feeling the energy of Vienna already calling to me. Maybe I'll go on a quick evening wander before bed, stopping for a slice of Sachertorte and a good dose of people-watching!

Don't forget to check back next Wednesday for my next Pink Tutu Vienna post!

Until then, remember to embrace your inner sparkle, keep dreaming, and perhaps, just maybe, consider adding a little pink tulle to your life! ๐Ÿ’–

Lots of love, Emma x
