Dearest readers,

Welcome back to PinkTutuVienna, your weekly dose of all things pink, twirly and delightful! As you all know, I'm Emma, a little bit of Derbyshire charm, sprinkled with Viennese waltz, and yes, my life is a constant twirl, literally, thanks to my trusty pink tutu! Today marks another Wednesday, which means, yep, you guessed it - a fresh post from your favourite ballerina-blogger! This week, Vienna is swirling with enchantment, so put on your favourite pink attire, grab a cuppa and settle in. This post is gonna be a right hoot!

Now, you may be wondering, how does a girl from Derbyshire end up waltzing around Vienna? Well, it's all thanks to the magic of dance! I earn my keep by pirouetting and prance around stages, spreading joy through ballets, you see. And my most recent performance? A stunning rendition of Swan Lake right here in Vienna. It's a city that has captured my heart as much as its famous Viennese waltz captures your soul!

I'm truly a girl who adores all things ballet. So, imagine my delight when I found out the Vienna State Opera was putting on "Giselle", a ballet I simply adore. The costumes, the choreography, the drama, it’s pure enchantment! You know how I am, I couldn't resist whipping up my own special pink Giselle costume to wear to the theatre, think tutu-length with flowing fabric for the ghostly dance. And let me tell you, the atmosphere in the theatre was pure magic. The audience was captivated, the dancers were breathtaking and the music…oh, the music! It just swept you away. I had a right tear-jerker of a time!

No trip to Vienna is complete without some delightful shopping! Vienna is known for its elegance and high fashion. I absolutely fell in love with a delightful boutique in the old town, tucked away down a cobbled lane. It was filled with all sorts of beautiful vintage clothing, some even with intricate, antique lace! I found the most stunning ivory silk shawl, embroidered with delicate flowers, for my next ballet performance. Oh, I just can’t wait to strut my stuff on stage wearing it!

Speaking of stage, one of the highlights of my week was definitely a ballet class in the Schönbrunn Palace. I was in awe of the grand, historic building and the lovely old mirrors! The class was lovely too, very classical and with such grace. I learned some beautiful new waltz steps that I can't wait to incorporate into my routine. Now, that's what I call learning and getting my tutu twirling on!

You know I love a good adventure! So, to top off my Vienna escapades, I had a wonderful time exploring the countryside. Now, I’ve always had a soft spot for horses and Vienna offers some magnificent opportunities to ride. I spent a lovely morning on a horseback ride through the rolling hills and green forests near Vienna. I love how horseback riding really helps you connect with the beauty of nature, just like dancing lets you connect with music and expression.

And to make things even more glamorous, my journey back to the city was a glorious ride on the Vienna's sleek train, travelling with splendid views of the city, vineyards and green pastures as we passed.

Vienna truly has captivated my heart! The culture, the beauty, the ballet, and the opportunity to discover this gorgeous city on horseback and train have made it a week for the books! The city has left a magical imprint on my heart, so much so that I decided to incorporate the famous Viennese Waltz into my ballet routine! Imagine the twirling! You can all bet I’m planning another ballet performance at the end of my stay in Vienna! You know I love my grand entrances, after all!

Vienna has a way of making dreams come true, you see? And you know my big dream is to make every day a day filled with twirls, laughter, and joy. So, whether you’re waltzing around Vienna or twirling in your living room, don't forget: a pink tutu and a sunny smile can change the world.
