Pink Tutu Vienna: Post #842 - A Whirlwind of Waltz and Wiener Schnitzel!

Hello my darling tutu-wearers! It's Emma here, back from the beautiful city of Vienna! I’m still feeling giddy after the whirlwind adventure, my head spinning with waltz tunes and the sheer majesty of the opera house. This week's blog is a real treat, bursting with all things pink, pretty, and definitely worth a twirl!

As always, I’m writing to you from my cosy little pink haven, here in my Derbyshire cottage, my trusty sewing machine whirring happily in the corner, and a pile of tutu tulle ready to be transformed. Every week I spend hours meticulously crafting and designing, putting my heart and soul into each tulle creation. My passion for tutus is more than a love of fluffy fabric; it’s an expression of grace, joy, and of course, that gorgeous shade of pink that sets my heart aflutter.

Vienna, as I mentioned, was truly an extraordinary experience! Just the sight of the majestic Hofburg Palace took my breath away. Imagine, it’s like stepping right into a fairytale! Of course, my itinerary wouldn't be complete without a visit to the stunning Vienna State Opera House. Just being there filled me with awe, the intricate design, the rich history, and the sheer spectacle of the ballet – it was a dream come true!

The dancers, with their incredible talent and effortless grace, made my heart soar. They brought the stories to life with their captivating movements. I was swept away by the grandeur of the Viennese waltz, and the costumes were breathtaking – truly works of art! Of course, I managed to get some stunning shots for my social media, as I can't possibly keep these glorious experiences all to myself!

Speaking of the arts, it was incredible to learn that ballet and its glorious tutus have a history so closely intertwined with Vienna! Did you know that the famous ballet master, Marius Petipa, spent time here in the late 19th century? His work greatly influenced the development of ballet technique, and his exquisite designs certainly set the standard for what we see on stage today.

And of course, no trip to Vienna would be complete without a taste of its legendary food scene! Wiener Schnitzel - oh, the crispy goodness! I've got to say, I felt perfectly at home in Vienna. It was like I'd stumbled into a movie, with its charming streets and charming locals. And yes, I wore my new, shimmering pink tutu for my performance in Vienna, even while sipping my favourite hot chocolate and enjoying the street performers in front of St. Stephen’s Cathedral. A pink tutu never fails to turn heads and spread happiness, it’s truly my favourite outfit for exploring the world, one city at a time.

But Vienna isn’t just about the grandeur of palaces and the thrill of a waltz, it’s also about finding those hidden treasures. I’m always on the lookout for unique shops filled with sparkling jewels, intricate lacework, and the perfect pair of pink shoes to complete my ensemble. Oh, and speaking of shops, I even discovered a wonderful boutique filled with vintage tutu’s and vintage dancewear - it was like stepping into a time machine, and a bit of heaven! I couldn't resist a little indulgence – I added a new tutu, a beautiful confection of vintage silk and feathers, to my collection! I have to share, this beauty is the most exquisite addition to my wardrobe, oh my! It’s almost time to travel to the magical city of Prague, but before I head off on my next adventure, I wanted to share a little bit of Vienna with you. Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of your trip to this extraordinary city:
