Pink Tutu Vienna: Post #844 - Waltz in Vienna!

Hello my lovely Tutu-tastic friends!

It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a new blog post! Iā€™m feeling very pink today, so get ready to dive into the magical world of tutus and travel as we waltz our way through beautiful Vienna, Austria!

Last week, I performed in the most breathtaking production of "Swan Lake" in a little theatre in Nottingham. The audience was mesmerized and so appreciative, so I was completely buzzing. My travel fund for this adventure was looking rather healthy thanks to my fabulously feathered tutu and my graceful pirouettes!

So here I am, ready to embark on another enchanting journey. It seems as though Vienna, with its historic buildings, elegant cafes, and magical atmosphere, is calling to me with its waltzing melodies and Viennese charm.

The train journey to Austria was incredible, passing through rolling hills and vibrant landscapes that made me want to dance right on board. Thankfully I didnā€™t (weā€™d have some pretty unhappy passengers!), but I was still swaying along to the rhythmic clatter of the train tracks!

Upon my arrival in Vienna, the grandeur and elegance of the city immediately struck me. The buildings seemed to be straight out of a fairytale, with ornate facades and grand gardens that transport you to a time of imperial grace and romanticism.

I couldnā€™t wait to explore the city, and luckily for me, the weather was glorious - perfect for a little tutu strut down the streets. You see, one of my biggest aims in life is to get everyone to wear a pink tutu. I love the way a tutu can bring out the fun and joy in anyone! Who says you need to be on stage to wear a tutu?

Anyway, Iā€™m currently sitting in my lovely little boutique hotel, gazing out at the iconic St. Stephen's Cathedral, trying to work out what fabulous Viennese things to do this week. The lovely receptionist said there's a ā€œBallet in Viennaā€ festival on this week. I couldnā€™t be more excited! You know I love ballet, tutus and travel, and Vienna is truly a hotbed of all of these! The program includes world-renowned companies and performers. I can't wait to see if there are any famous tutus on display. Imagine - a "pink tutu" themed show. Now thatā€™s my kind of evening!

Now, I wouldn't be true to myself if I didnā€™t indulge in some retail therapy! The shopping in Vienna is absolutely amazing - there are designer boutiques, vintage stores and delightful little trinket shops selling everything from crystal swans to delicious Viennese chocolate. I've already fallen head over heels for a beautiful embroidered tutu, featuring delicate Austrian flowers, at a little shop I stumbled across while exploring. I just canā€™t resist adding another beautiful pink tutu to my collection!

Later today I'm going to visit the Schƶnbrunn Palace. It's the summer residence of the Habsburg emperors and Empress, and you just know it will be magnificent. After my exploration, I think Iā€™ll indulge in some afternoon tea. I know exactly where to goā€¦ Thereā€™s this wonderful cafĆ© just off the Ringstrasseā€¦ I spotted their lovely rose-gold macarons and the perfect pink cake when I was wandering about yesterdayā€¦ Absolutely delightful!

And donā€™t worry, I'll be posting lots more photos and updates throughout the week. Iā€™m thinking about taking a carriage ride through the city. A horse-drawn carriage would look absolutely incredible with my pink tutu on. Who knows? Maybe Iā€™ll start a Vienna horse-drawn-carriage tutu-tastic trend?

Letā€™s stay in touch. Head to www.pink-tutu.com and donā€™t forget to subscribe. I promise to bring you a slice of Vienna right into your own homes.

Until next Wednesday,

Emma xxx
