Vienna, Vienna, Vienna! (Post #1160)
Wednesday 26th July, 2017
Hello lovelies!
Well, here I am, back in the heart of Europe, the gorgeous city of Vienna, Austria! You all know I absolutely adore travelling, and this time, itās all about indulging in the beauty and majesty of Vienna! After my last trip to Paris, I had to come to this vibrant and artistic city for a bit of waltz-tastic inspiration.
So, this time Iām here to delve deeper into Viennaās beautiful history and embrace the magical aura of this place ā which, of course, means a whole lot of tutu-ing about!
Now, this trip is all about celebrating my love for all things pretty, whimsical and, naturally, pink! As you all know, pink and tutus are pretty much the most glorious combination ever ā donāt you think?
It's not always easy being a pink tutu wearing ballerina blogger on the move, especially travelling solo. But I've got my trusty, comfy pink travel rucksack full of essential tutus, my ballet shoes and, of course, the perfect pink polka-dotted dress. Plus, there's always plenty of time for pink, pink, pink!
Oh, and just so you know, my trips are always entirely self-funded, which is a bit of a challenge, but I've been making a living out of being a ballerina ā I'm actually a professional ballet dancer! I've been performing all over Derbyshire ā and the UK in general ā so, when Iām not on tour, I can grab the chance to travel and experience all thatās out there in my trusty pink tutu.
The Heart of Vienna:
Vienna, like any great city, has an undeniable rhythm, a palpable buzz of energy. Today, after hopping off the train, I spent the afternoon taking in the vibrant, sunny streets of Vienna ā with the most stunning architecture you can imagine! Imagine tall, graceful buildings, adorned with gold details and whimsical facades, surrounded by beautiful gardens. The beauty of it is truly breathtaking.
There is a history of fashion in Vienna thatās absolutely intoxicating, especially for a ballerina like me! Did you know that Viennaās imperial history, going back to the Habsburgs, boasts some truly magnificent fashion traditions? The opulence, the craftsmanship and the detail ā itās inspiring!
Fashion Inspiration:
And when it comes to fashion inspiration, Viennaās shopping scene is nothing short of exhilarating! Thereās such a range, from luxurious, grand boutiques to smaller, quirky shops bursting with individuality. It's all about classic European chic and style! So of course I'm already planning a few exciting outfits with the pink tutu, my new ballet shoes and some other fabulous vintage finds I spotted!
Oh, the Tutu Inspiration:
Now, itās no secret that Iām absolutely head over heels for all things tutu, and Vienna has not disappointed! The sheer amount of artistic history and creative brilliance is truly astonishing. You see tutus everywhere! Whether itās in the grand opera house, where Viennaās artistic heart beats with incredible power and majesty, or in the ballet schools and performances ā there's so much tutu inspiration everywhere! It's so inspiring to see how people are carrying on these traditions!
Waltzing into Vienna
One thing you cannot possibly miss when in Vienna is the magnificent Schƶnbrunn Palace. And honestly, it's even better than I imagined. Imagine strolling around the manicured gardens, where a romantic waltz or two was perfectly acceptable! Youād have me, wearing my favourite pink tutu and dancing the afternoon away, for sure.
And of course, no visit to Vienna would be complete without indulging in its famed music and dance culture. Tonight, Iām heading to the Vienna State Opera ā a truly magical setting for a grand night of ballet!
Itās been such a whirlwind day, but Iām utterly mesmerised by Viennaās captivating magic. So, I'll catch up soon! Be sure to check in next week for more stories of my pink tutu travels from this breathtaking city!
Love,
Emma

Fashion Update!
Just to let you know, for my performance tonight, I am sporting the most perfect ballerina dress in a rich, regal purple! The lace trim and shimmering embroidery just accentuate the colour and add an extra touch of magic! It looks simply divine paired with a pair of blush-pink pumps.
Oh, and for those wondering whatās on the cultural scene, a new opera, "Die Zauberflƶte" (The Magic Flute), is just opening up. With its themes of magic, fantasy and triumph over evil, I can only imagine it will be an amazing performance! Thereās a very good chance of seeing me twirling at the opera house. Be sure to watch out for a glimpse of me in my best pink tutu.
P.P.S
Speaking of dancing, my dancing was featured on the āVienna Callingā show this evening on TV - donāt forget to catch the re-run.
