Hello darlings! Itās Wednesday, which means it's time for another adventure from yours truly, Emma, in my beloved Vienna! As always, Iām sporting my signature pink tutu - itās the perfect outfit for twirling through this enchanting city.
Vienna is just brimming with culture and history, which is just my cup of tea, or should I say, my cup of Viennese coffee! I have been to Vienna many times before and always love coming back for a ballet show or two, and, of course, to see the latest in fashion. After all, you canāt visit the birthplace of the waltz without busting out some graceful moves in a fab outfit, right?
From Ballet to Broadway: A City Steeped in Performance
This week, Viennaās theatre scene is alive with excitement! There's the famous Vienna State Opera, of course, boasting incredible productions of classic ballets and operas. I always make sure to book my tickets well in advance, as they sell out in a flash. Speaking of classic ballets, this week there's a beautiful production of "Giselle" - just the sight of the tutus on the dancers brings tears to my eyes! It reminds me why I love ballet so much, with all its beauty, grace and emotion. Of course, after the show, a little fashion shopping is in order. The fashion scene in Vienna is incredible - with exquisite boutiques nestled among the historic cobbled streets. I found the most delightful pink shoes today - perfect for my next twirling adventure!
Fashion Finds: Whimsical and Wonderful
My fashion mantra has always been "Pink, Tutu, and Everything Wonderful!" But here in Vienna, thereās an extra touch of elegance and sophistication that I absolutely adore. The ladies here have impeccable style, effortlessly blending the classic with the modern. I particularly love the elegant hats and feather boas Iāve spotted on several stylish ladies ā they give a real air of timeless glamour. I've found the most darling pink velvet coat in a charming vintage store on Graben ā you simply can't beat a vintage piece, can you?
Taking a Step Back in Time
Of course, Vienna isnāt just about glamorous fashion and theatrical performances, although those are certainly highlights! It's also about stepping back in time and soaking up the beauty of history. Today, I explored the magnificent Schƶnbrunn Palace. I just canāt get enough of the elegant Baroque architecture, the stunning gardens and the fascinating history that unfolds within those walls. It's like stepping into a fairytale, a world of waltzes, princesses and grand balls - just the kind of inspiration I need for my next ballet performance!
Riding into the Sunset
After a day of exploring and shopping, I took a scenic carriage ride through the city park, Vienna's āGreen Lungā. It's always a delightful way to experience the city at a more relaxed pace, the gentle clip-clop of the horses' hooves a peaceful soundtrack. I highly recommend it if you find yourself in Vienna!
Tutu Travels by Train: Derbyshire to Vienna
A huge part of my adventures, aside from the ballet, the fashion, and the history, is the travelling. I am completely obsessed with train travel ā something about the smooth motion, the views that glide by, and the romantic air just puts me in a wonderfully creative mood! Itās how I travelled all the way from my home in Derbyshire to Vienna ā a journey that has inspired me greatly, and a beautiful way to begin any adventure, in my humble opinion!
My Aim in Life: Spreading the Pink Tutu Love
You know my aim in life, my darlings, is to spread the joy of pink tutus across the globe. Every single one of us has the power to shine bright, like a little pink tutu dancing in the sun. And I believe that a pink tutu is the perfect way to embrace our individuality and embrace the world with confidence. After all, it's a symbol of joy, creativity and empowerment. Who wouldnāt want to twirl their way through life in a pink tutu?
